Florida pastor Terry Jones backed away from his plan to burn a pile of Qurans on Sept. 11, but anger in the Muslim world persists. Two people were killed in eastern Afghanistan when soldiers opened fire on a crowd during protests against the planned burning. —JCL

Associated Press:

Two protesters died and four were injured as Afghans protested for a third day Sunday against a plan by an American pastor to burn copies of the Islamic holy book, despite his decision to call off the action.

Mohammad Rahim Amin, chief of the Baraki Barak district in eastern Logar province, said the deaths and injuries occurred when Afghan soldiers opened fire on hundreds of protesters who were trying to storm the local government headquarters.

” I’m surprised that Muslims protesting the Koran burning
aren’t retaliating by burning Bibles.  Could it be
because their religion teaches them tolerance of other
religions?”

Have you given any thought to the fact that it is in Afghanistan where there aren’t any bibles and that if you’re caught with one that those tolerant practitioners of Islam just might separate your head from the rest of your body?

In stead of asking “why do they hate us” why don’t you ask… why do they seem to hate everyone… especially each other?

This guy tried smoking pages from both books to decide which burns best. YouTube removed the video as offensive. You have to love how the religious are always screaming about tolerance and yet one is hard pressed to find more intolerant and insanely hyper-sensitive apes (that’s what we are… apes… Homo sapiens)on the planet.

Make Pastor Terry Jones responsible and charge him with wrongful death for these people who died. Maybe that will teach him the error of his ways, but I am not holding my breath on this bone headed, ignorant POS.

I believe they haven’t burned any bibles because the Quran is derivative from the bible and that would be considered equally holy to them.
