Truthdig Wins Webby Award for Best Political BlogPosted on May 4, 2010
All of us here at Truthdig are honored to announce that we’ve won the Webby Award jury prize for this year’s Best Political Blog. The fact that our fellow nominees included sites we visit daily like The Huffington Post, The Economist, The New Yorker and The Atlantic only makes this news all the more humbling and gratifying, but most important, we’re happy to share this award with our community of readers—our biggest asset and the reason we keep doing what we do. And now ... the champagne! Click here for a complete list of nominees and winners. And thanks to one of our favorite news operations, the BBC, for the name check. hello. you are welcome, as your family compiles good raw data; and just because everybody has an *$$hole, you demonstrate that you don’t have to act alike one: and that’s my opinion. (opinions are just like *$$holes: everybody’s got one, and both usually produce shit). congratulations, and bottom’s up!

Apparently antiwar.com wasn’t even nominated. So I don’t know how seriously to
take this award.

Outstanding! TD won it DESPITE posts from ED, Robert, omop and “The Contingent”.
Must be the hilarious comedy by Leefeller, the brilliant rebuttals by Shenonymous and even Shingo. And, of course, the clear, unimpeachable insights and analysis of….yours truly!
(Seriously, TD—-Congratulations.)

This is one time they got it right. It’s hard-earned and well-deserved.

Good job. My opinion, but I have wondered if NOT having a ‘rating’ of comments by fellow commenters results in comments being less sensational, less argumentative, less crowd-pleasing and finally more to the point and informative. Just a thought.
