The Donald Toys With a Super PACPosted on May 24, 2012
Stephen Colbert has one. So does Sarah Palin. And now, billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump says he wants his own super PAC too. Trump, who at one time considered seeking the 2012 presidential nomination as a Republican, told conservative outlet Newsmax on Wednesday that he was “thinking about just doing my own super PAC.” No doubt the super PAC would focus on one of Trump’s favorite targets, President Obama. Trump has been a staunch supporter of the birther movement, and has said repeatedly that he questions whether the president was really born in the U.S. Not surprisingly, Trump has endorsed Mitt Romney for president.—TEB
