The very fact that, this late in history, there is still argument supporting lifetime imprisonment for minors shows how retrograde US prison policies are.
Report thisThat, plus our persistent support of the death penalty, and refusal to eliminate prison rape, mark us as supporters of unremitting revenge rather than restoration and reprieve. It appears that we have been “Sinners In the Hands of an Angry God” ever since the aarly years, psychologically speaking.

Maximum sentence for any crime but intentional murder should be a year of water boarding. The punishment is severe enough, it would close down prisons and save billions. Long term incarceration is an unnecessary expense for honest hardworking taxpayers. They are the ones that should be shown mercy.
