The Cain Train Sputters and Stops

Former presidential hopeful Herman Cain.

To audible sighs of collective grief and dismay, Herman Cain announced the suspension of his presidential campaign Saturday, assuring supporters and everyone else that he is a “fighter” who “would not go away.” A suspension, as opposed to a formal closure, allows Cain to continue collecting money.

Cain made comments that seemed to point to multiplying allegations of sexual harassment as the reason he quit the campaign. He is expected to endorse a candidate soon. —ARK

The New York Times:

“As of today, with a lot of prayer and soul searching, I am suspending my presidential campaign,” Mr. Cain said at a rally here, surrounded by supporters chanting his name. “Because of the continued distractions, the continued hurt caused on me and my family, not because we are not fighters. Not because I’m not a fighter.”

In suspending his candidacy, as opposed to saying that he was quitting the race or ending his bid, Mr. Cain maintained his ability to accept money to pay for his campaign so far and to finance the new venture that he called his Plan B: to travel the country promoting his tax and foreign policy plans. If Mr. Cain had decided to formally close his campaign organization, he would not be able to use donations that may come in.

Reflecting on Mr. Cain’s views and statements in the media one can only
conclude that he comes across as a sanctimonious as well as a
supercilious individual. And his so called “suspending” his campaign adds
insults to injury.

Everybody’s a prude and a porno addict in Gringolandia—the land of hypocrisy and serial genocide.

One’s sexual activity is one’s own business, IMHO, but Cain was a vicious sociopathic genocidal dirtbag purveyor of junk food of the lowest order (and odor), so it’s just as well he left the race.

Now it’s clear seas for another sexually screwed up hypocrite, Newt the Brute.

My wife and I have pondered what made Cain believe his private sexual affairs if
brought out during the campaign would be a fleeting “distraction” (a favorite term
of his) and brushed of as trifling peccadillos.  He evidently considered himself such
a giant among men and that regular folk wouldn’t consider his libido exploits
outside of marriage a damning trait. Maybe he thought he was the next JFK?

This kind of passive aggressive resignation actually passes muster? If he
wasn’t guilty he wouldn’t care about any “smear campaign”. Yet he
continues to collect checks and have influence?

Herman Cain is a fool. After Bill Clinton anyone with
that many skeletons in the closet should have kept that
casket buried. His arrogance told him no one would
tell. His 999 should have been 000 and he should have
just sold books and not run anyway. He benefited from
the anybody but Romney because nobody believes anything
Romney says. Not even Romney. He humiliated his wife and
forced her to try to cover up his marital infidelities.
He is a can’t keep his pants up sleeze. I feel sorry
for his family. Religious Herman needs to read his
bible. You reap what you sow.
