Tax Cuts According to Barbara BoxerPosted on Dec 14, 2010
California Sen. Barbara Boxer is one of a group of purportedly left-leaning politicians who is choosing to throw in with President Obama in his plan to preserve Bush-era tax cuts that give the wealthy a break along with Americans hailing from lower-income brackets. Here’s what she had to say for herself Tuesday. —KA

Remember trickle down works for dogs and fireplugs, those into golden showers, and drunks and urinals.

You basically are forced to conclude the Democrat Party is dead. Basically what we have here is the “far left (LOL)” of the Democrat Party supporting the identical solution as “far right” sleazeball Mitch McConnell. The only difference is the feel good grandstanding of Boxer “regretting” that those horrible Republicans are not letting her have what she trully wants for her lowly subjects. IMO, there is nothing left to vote for in the Democratic Party. It is morally bankrupt.

Report thisWow, is that picture ms. boxer herself? Looks like
she uses her congressional medical care as good
as the mummy, pelosi. Boxer, whether from
photo touchups or the taxpayer tucks and nips or
both is trying her best to look like a cherry pop
tart.

I still don’t know what’s wrong with passing a two year extension of
Report thisunemployment benefits which will go directly into the country’s cash flow which in
turn pays for essentials, gasoline, mortgages, food, utilities, and health insurance
which by the way are controlled by corporate entities. In other words corporations
will probably get most of the cash. So pass a two year extension, take care of the
99ers, and tell the upper echelon sorry no tax break or f*#@ off. Just let the tax
cuts die a natural death. C’mon Obama get off your ass and fight for the
unfortunate victims of corporate abuse, just for once, you spineless scumbag.

I suggest that everyone send an email along
the lines of the following to Boxer:
Dear Senator Boxer,
I strongly disapprove of your siding with
Report thisthe Republican tax bill to which the Obama
administration has acceded. Your action is
a terrible disappointment which will not
dispose me to support you again in the future.
The Bush-Obama Tax Bill which you support
undermines Social Security, enriches the rich,
and does not provide assistance to a large
segment of those still unemployed during the
current economic crisis (the 99ers).
You are contributing to a general condition of
collapse among Democrats, the administration,
and civil society in general.

It’s good to know it was you and Diane, maybe you squeeked by this time Barbara…probably only because Fiornia was so destestable…
Here’s hoping the Republicans nominate someone more reasonable, when Feinstein comes around, or better yet a viable third party candidate…

Well, that’s what we Californians get for keeping this dinosaur in office. At least the Republican wouldn’t have been pretending to be anything other than a puppet of the oligarchs. In the end this is not surprising at all, just come down here to California, you’ll see how the state is a mess, quite literally a banana republic.

Who got to Barbara? I expect this kind of thing from Dianne, the war
Report thismonger, but i did hope Boxer would be an exception. No more and no
votes for her either. Her excuse isn’t even valid and she didn’t even
mention the unemployed. What gives, Barbara? Why do these politicians
keep saying it will help the economy. We’ve had these cuts for years
and it hasn’t done one bit of good for the economy. Perhaps the middle
class cuts did a bit but cuts for the rich is a laugh. Our Congress and
our country has completely lost its way. I just can’t imagine where we
are going. Everything done for this recession has been done for the
rich. Super rich people, super rich banks, super rich foreign banks and
for the regular people I can see no help. For the low income earners
their taxes will actually go up. What in heavens name happened to this
country. If someone had left my money alone I would leave here. There
are much better place to live. As we move backward and the whole
country falls in the thrall of the super conservatives what is left for the
people? I see Chris Hedges’ predictions coming true very quickly. So
who got to Barbara Boxer. What did they promise her or what do they
have on her? Either way she sold out completely. No point in anyone
voting for her anymore. With this going on does it mean Social Security
and Medicare are next? Looks that way and it will be too late before the
people catch on. I feel as if all is over and all I have is this sinking
feeling.

I know this is simplistic but, so called representatives of the people including
Report thisBoxer, Feinstein and the Clintons are money people first and foremost. Thats
why they are in politics for the power and money. Representing “the people” is
their vehicle to power and money. This Bush Tax break affects them and all
their money friends and big name corporate supporters so it is not difficult for
them to just say the words that “this is a good deal”. Deep down inside they
hate the sweaty masses they represent. We are just a pain in the ass. These
assholes like Feinstein and the Clintons entertain and continually hob nob with
the elite almost every night of the week. They would be shunned if they voted
against this tax rip off. Its far easier to bullshit us than face the elitists over
cocktails. Rich and corporate donors supply cash for these clowns to put
political ads on TV to bullshit us, the great unwashed. Trouble is over 50%
(approx.) of us believe their crap. Look at Feinstein and her defense contractor
husband. They are worth many millions and are simple parasites.

This sums up the Democrat Party not offering a real alternative. Boxer is one of the more “liberal” Democrats but showed no fight for the public option or against tax cuts. Last week I noticed her web site displaying the standard Democrat template. Grandstanding on how she really wants to extend tax cuts just for the middle class, but no talk of actually wanting to use the looming expiration to pressure the Republicans for a more progressive solution. In seeing the writing on the wall I sent her a letter of protest entitled “Dont You Dare Do It”, or you will not get my vote in the next round (which she lost this round over her pathetic performance in the “healthcare” legislation). Looks like my letter, as expected, went unheeded.

She supports Bush tax cuts, that haven’t worked. As a matter of fact trickle down hasn’t worked for 50 years.
I actually expected more from Barbara Boxer, now I see why she did so poorly in the last election.

Sorry Barbara you phony.
Just watch this payroll tax holiday try to go back to work in the future. You are on the cutting edge of stealing my Social Security.
All I want to know is where can I pick up my check for the $150,000 + interest that you made me pony up for the last 25 years. Or, are you going to simply say - no we are taking it away from you.
This system stinks and is ready for collapse. By the way, I want my vote back from you - crook
