Moonraven,

Something i meant also to mention about personalities such as -chronic, hanity, and the like is, when they can no longer control the debate they reduce it to a bitch-fight and call people names.  They can dish it out, but they sure can’t take it.  Furthermore, they’re always needing others to bail them out.  This time hell will freeze over before i lift one finger to bail uncle-sam-too-big-to-fail out.  They’re own their own, i’ve had enough!  How does that saying go, fool me once, shame on you,...

Unfortunately, i’m finding so many americans of the same obnoxiously vain personality, and i’m telling you, i’m ready to move south of the border, or elsewhere, just for a breath of fresh air.

Thanks for the comment.  Nice talking with you!

Jr.  I am on your side on this one.

Ole heteronym (for his sockpuppet identity here) is all for excusiing the crap out of the gringo grunts that b lew the Iraquis, Afghanis, Pakistanis and anyone else they could get in their sights to kingdom come—but when one of those non-white groups retaliates he cries Foul and War Crimes and Ununiformed criminals and the whole nine yards—and insults you for identifying the chickens that have come home to roost.

All patriots are cowardly scoundrels.

Two thumbs up to the Taliban!  Remember uncle sam, you were the one that hired the Taliban in the first place.  And, as far as i’m concerned you misappropriated my tax monies in doing so; in despite of what you might have to say on the matter.  What was the excuse, “wanting to make Russia’s invasion into that country their vietnam”, jimmy carter, 1979.  Retribution as justice, hmmmmmmm, what’s wrong with that picture?

To those souls thinking they can hold a civil conversation with hectochronic, and the likes, let u.s. understand, he is another one like that shaun hanity; you know, the blind mindless drone patriot type, maybe with some book smarts, but no appreciable experience, that will never find any wrong in the actions of this their american government.  And, no matter how illegal those actions may really be, locally or, even on a world scale, people as they will make any, and every, excuse imaginable to rationalize and justify that their methods of behaving.  Remember too, hanity suggested that water-boarding was NOT torture, though, the coward refused to under-go the practice himself, even when offered as much as a thousand dollars for every second he endured the process.  The same i sense is true of chronic!  Arguing with them is simply validating their sever obnoxious patriotism, and, one would probably be better off talking to a wall than to think one is going to change their minds.  They are one’s worse enemy because people as they would just as soon destroy a part of their own country and people just so that they can say to the remaining, see, i told you so.

This isn’t to say that one should be stupid and not, at least, be precautionary in dealing with predators, but, being paranoid is not the answer, especially when glorious uncle sam is starting the shit he’s later out to so-called fix.

My sentiments are that the Taliban should win by taking over, not just afghanistan, but pakistan as well.  Hell, let them have Iraq as well.  Perhaps it will teach old uncle sam to stop meddling in the affairs of others, assasinating government officials, starting drug wars, and acting like the billy-bad-ass that he thinks himself as.  He probably won’t, but, it’s nice to think so.

How about YOUR cowardly ass taking a hike to Kabul to hang there for awhile, big shot?

Maybe you’d actually finally learn ONE THING about your pestilent country and its foreign policy.

When they start launching attacks on the parliament you know the war is over even if no one will admit it. I noticed that in the 9/11 Commission Report they wrote:

“Karzai is brave and committed’.

Anyone who believes that, should be committed. His brother was one of the biggest drug dealers in Afghanistan until he was assassinated. All the western families that have lost their fathers, and brothers should understand that the Afghans had fathers, brothers and mothers who have been slaughtered in this war and they want their country back and they will take it back. The Taliban and the Pakistani intelligence services are two sides of one coin anyway. Afghanistan is a basket case but the United States has spent 30 years weaving the basket.

Wrong again, piecework peon.

When the flushing comes—and it’s imminent, you folks who make your pittance living pimping for patrtiotism—and all the other gringos—will be swirling down there.

Of course some of you are so lightweight that you will think you can float to the top and escape, but NO—

only those of us who truly DID escape have escaped.

Anybody remember the Tet (spring) Offensive in Vietnam
in the spring of 1968?  It changed the 68 election and
the future of the country.  If Obama doesn’t wake up
there will be a catastrophic event over there that
will cost him the election.

14 attackers dead and they didn’t injure a single foreigner is even worse than
their usual score. all they can do is to kill and terrorize the other Afghans.

they’ve no ability to compete militarily, their victories are all in public relations and
all they can hope to do is to goad NATO into making mistakes that are politically
exploitable.

I don’t think the Taliban is capable of organizing Vietnam scale attacks such as TET. because of U.S. high tech, Afghan disorganization , and terrain [open scrub lands ]Still, this is going to be tough on the Obama brand.
