Take Action With The NationPosted on Apr 28, 2012
Looking for a worthy cause? Don’t stop, but do pause awhile at The Nation magazine’s recently created “Take Action” page. Once a week, Nation editors suggest an urgent issue, required reading and practical steps for action. —ARK Advertisement New and Improved CommentsIf you have trouble leaving a comment, review this help page. Yeah well…
The Nation does a good job of masquerading as a “progressive” journal, but it’s not.
The editors will endorse our murderer-in-chief in 2012 and all the wretchedness he has brought to this loathsome presidency.
Vote third party… A.B.O. - Anyone BUT Obama.

A thousand pardons, Robespierre 115! Faux pas numero uno, jikisha, caramba, and twenty lashes at sundown! I took you for that other French guy. So sorry, please!

LaFayette: So Nation readers shouldn’t be encouraged to contribute what time and money they can to organizations and causes that are trying to help with such things as legal and medical expenses.
Report thisI’m thinkin’ Doctors without Borders, Committee for Constitutional Rights, Iraq Veterans Against War, Courage to Resist, Code Pink, American Civil Liberties Union, United Farm Workers, etc. etc. etc. To name a few!
I was studying C.C.R. last night and was amazed at how much they are doing to try to salvage the Constitution.

The Nation has some good writers like Jeremy Scahill and Robert Dreyfuss, but most of the time it’s basically “yes things are bad, we want to be an alternative news source, but please keep supporting the Democrats and Obama because eventually he MIGHT transform into the Shepard Fairey poster.”

Thank TD for pointing up these possibilities for action. It will require leaving them up long enough for people to read informative materials. Thanks for space to respond here—perhaps on actions taken, results if any, and encouragement or special information about projects that commenters are most interested in.
Report thisI’ll just say briefly that I was particularly glad to see the section about Occupy and their actions against foreclosures. Haven’t had time to read it yet, but I’ve been keeping up on this issue regarding Occupy, whereas most people here seem to feel that Occupy has been doing little to nothing.
I’m glad you help get this information out.
