As we enter the third month of the U.S. military buildup, the devastating suicide attacks on two bridges in Baghdad and a bloody assault on a holy city undermine the Bush administration’s claims of progress in Iraq.

BBC:

At least 36 people have been killed and more than 160 hurt in a suicide car bomb attack in Iraq’s holy city of Karbala, officials say.
The attacker detonated explosives at a crowded bus station in the city close to a shrine holy to Shia Muslims, at around 0915 local time (0515 GMT).

Many of the casualties were said to be women or children.

Recall the words of the ancient Roman historian, Tacitus:  “They created desolation and called it peace.”

At one time shrub claimed that we were on a ‘crusade’ to bring to the mid east: Pick from one or more of the following. democracy, freedom, reconstruction, free trade, an elected government, etc.
Now we are simply having a ‘surge.’ Sounds sort of puny compared to a crusade, doesnt it?
Meanwhile the Iraqi’s are having a ‘purge’ to remove us from the proximity of their oil.
Funny how surge and purge rhyme.

I noticed a poster on the wall of a tv detective show last week. Everyone in the country should send a copy to George/Cheney:

INSANITY---when people do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result.

George/Cheney still can’t tell the truth. George/Cheney are not above the law. It is time and way past time to start impeachment against both of these criminal and arrogant men. There is more than enough proof, even by the things they have said on their own accounts to remove them from office and then try them for the actual crimes they have committed and the trust they have abused. The time is now.

What suicide bombings? There are no suicide bombers. There are only technological slight of hand by the Americans made to appear as suicide bombings. Chaos is what Americans want so that Iraq is totally destroyed and empty of it’s people, as that is the only way they will get Iraq’s oil and Iraq to become a dependent colony
