Stone, MoveOn.org Join ForcesPosted on Apr 19, 2007
Director Oliver Stone is teaming up with MoveOn.org and VoteVets.org for a project called “VideoVets: Bring Our Troops Home.” Viewers can vote at MoveOn’s site to pick the winning entry from a series of more than 20 videotaped interviews of veterans and family members speaking out about the U.S. policy in Iraq. Stone will make the top entry into a 30-second TV spot. “We have leaders in Washington who say they’re ‘supporting our troops’—but the people who suffer most from their policies are the troops themselves,” Stone said in a statement released Thursday. “I decided to participate in this project because, as a veteran, I know that America needs to listen to our servicemen and -women. They’ve been there and they know what’s really going on. They need to be part of this debate.” Below is one example of the taped interviews, this one featuring John Bruhns, a former Army infantry sergeant.

As a Vietnam Vet I can only say it is coming a little
Report thisbit late. Bush and company made Iraq a war of choice, not necessity. We are fighting the wrong enemy. The real enemy is extremest Islam. The leader of them come from Saudia Arabia. If Bush can’t tell who the enemy is how can we fight them? Or maybe he dosen’t want to so his friends can make more money.
