The Supreme Court dismissed a racial discrimination lawsuit brought by Robert Jordan, an African-American former employee of IBM in Maryland who said he was fired a month after protesting to higher-ups about a racist comment made by a white co-worker in 2002.

L.A. Times:

Civil rights lawyers also filed briefs urging the justices to take up the case. They said the ruling left employees in a “Catch-22 situation.”

They had been told by managers and by the courts that they should report instances of racism or sexual harassment in the workplace. At the same time, they were vulnerable to being dismissed for making such complaints.

On Monday the Supreme Court issued a one-line order without explanation, saying Jordan’s appeal had been turned down.

I think that although the reason the Supremes didn’t hear this case was for reasons other than race, I have been convinced since the Alito hearings that our Supreme Court, indeed the entire judiciary, is extremely racist and bigoted ... and that includes the black judges.

Fulbright partner uses N- word, no problem. Just a bump in the road. In real life, Fulbright & Jaworski, Baker & Botts (you recall them, Pennzoil Texaco?), Vinson & Elkins (think Connelly), Nickens Keaton and most of the large Houston Texas firms are extremely racist. They just filter their mouths before it comes from their brains.

I was surprised Imus didn’t go get one of them to defend him against getting fired.

Racist America? Absolutely. And not simply against blacks, but against every culture that is not a WASP (emphasis on that fundamentalist part these days). How in the world do you think the Twig conned the American citizenship into war in the Middle East? Played on the racist as well as “good Christian” part of it.

I personally will take diversity any day, with white anglo men at the bottom of my list (most of whom are those racist lawyers) and computer bots at the top. America is a hypocrisy. Computers don’t care as long as you can type.

And I have no doubt several of those Supremes have IBM stock.

Watch for more such decisions. It’s the reason we need organizations like Jail4Judges

Gee, racism still exists in America. When I was a boy, in the late ‘60s, I remember the ‘peace & love’ movement, and I was left with the impression that one day racism, and discrimination of all kinds, would disapeer by the time I reached my 20’s. I’m 50 now and I can see that not much has changed in America. In fact, with the current administration in office, America has become much, much a worse place to live.
I live in the UK now, and from here I can see how bad things have gotten from just watching American TV broadcasts.
Racism is still alive and growing in America.
America, your still as racist as ever.

I’m sure if Mr. Jordons complaint had merit he would still be there.  I for one am tired of companies having to shell out millions of dollars for every Black who screams racism.  Many of the companies pay out just to shut up the charges whether or not they are valid.  I live in a predominately Black county and have for years, I for one can tell you there are alot of good hard working Black folks out there and unfortunately a bunch of Black racists too.

Mr. Jordan, are you blind or stupid ? You should know that never bring egg to fight with stone ! Moreover the IBM has huge extra money to buy justice even justice from the highest Court. Most of big companies have their own laws, you should know that !
