Secret Romney Video Ties Him to Sex Party-Loving Hedge Fund ManagerPosted on Sep 18, 2012
Just when you thought the story about Mitt Romney saying some pretty outrageous things about Obama supporters while being secretly videotaped couldn’t get any better, it did. According to Mother Jones’ David Corn, the footage was shot during a fundraiser at the home of Marc Leder, a hedge fund manager dubbed the “private equity party boy” and known for throwing pretty lascivious affairs in the Hamptons, N.Y. We’re talking parties that involve sex, but not the kind intended for the purpose of planting a zygote in the womb, thereby going against a core conservative value and basically everything Republicans stand for. The New York Post described one such event as follows:
Imagine what Rick Santorum would say if he heard about such a party? Quelle horreur! Of course, there were no sex acts on record the night that Romney held a $50,000-a-plate fundraiser at Leder’s Boca Raton, Fla., estate. No, there were reportedly just insults leveled by Romney at nearly half of Americans, those whom he appeared to describe as “moochers” in the video. Here’s the controversial quote:
In addition to lending Romney the use of his home, Leder has given roughly $300,000 to the Republican presidential nominee and other GOP candidates this election cycle.
