Haley
youtube.com

Although she categorically denies the story, Nikki Haley, a GOP up-and-comer who’s angling to replace scandal-tainted South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford, is now obliged to answer to rumors that she herself has dabbled in extramarital relations.  —KA

“Political Hotsheet” on CBS News:

Republican Nikki Haley, who is hoping to succeed Mark Sanford as South Carolina governor, is denying a claim by Republican blogger and former Sanford aide Will Folks that the two engaged in an “inappropriate physical relationship” several years ago, before he was married.

Folks writes that he decided to come forward because “within the last forty-eight hours several pieces of information which purportedly document a prior physical relationship between myself and Rep. Haley have begun to be leaked slowly, piece by piece, to members of the mainstream media. I am told that at least one story based upon this information will be published this week.”

During the impeachment hearings and trial of Bill Clinton for having “perjured” himself about having sex with Monica Lewinsky, it came out that Henry Hyde, Bob Livingston, Dan Burden and Newt Gingrich had ALL cheated on their wives.  We KNOW John McCain did—he and Cindy had a year-long affair before he divorced his first wife.

It’s not the cheatin’, it’s the phony moralizing of these bastards that gets to me.

This accusation may, of course, be true.  However, it is interesting that no one so far has even considered the possibility that the story is false; that the accuser has an ulterior motive or hidden agenda for spreading it.  Considering how often most TDers question the MSM, it is surprising that everyone is simply “buying” this story not only without doing any actual research on it (or on the accuser), but without even a modicum of skepticism.

Why don’t people just admit that marriage is antiquated? Personally, I wouldn’t care if she was in love with a sheep.

Nemesis,

I would have to ask the beerdoc, but this may be an example of the “how many beers” theory of sexual attraction. (in this case, it make take 6 beers or more for me to want to have sex with this woman)

of course there is also the antithesis of that theory, which is how many high balls would it take for her to have sex with me.

Isn’t she Sarah Palin’s BFF and pick? Another one bites the dust!

Looking at that picture I can’t help but think that some guys aren’t at all selective about where they stick their manhood. Does she bark at the moon too?

Why doesn’t the GOP just come clean and add adultery to their platform?

“Hi there, vote for me, if you send me to Washington I’ll diddle someone else instead of your mate”.

Sounds fair enough.  Truth in advertising, always a good thing.
