According to a study of global warming, 20 percent of UNESCO World Heritage sites face extinction.

It may take a long time, as the article below describes, but it’s a bit chilling, if you’ll forgive the pun, to realize that in addition to all the famine, fire and human suffering to come with a hotter planet, we’ll also lose many of the greatest achievements of our collective history.

Go see the Colosseum and the Sydney Opera House while you still can.
