Sarkozy Urges ‘One Voice’ for EU on Issue of Palestinian StatehoodPosted on Aug 31, 2011
French President Nicolas Sarkozy said Wednesday in a speech to French ambassadors that he wanted all 27 countries of the European Union to speak with “one voice” in September on the issue of Palestinian statehood at the United Nations General Assembly. Sarkozy also urged the U.S. to do more to foster peace in the Middle East, especially as the Arab Spring brings change across the region. Most countries in the EU have not publicly committed to which way they will vote on the issue, but if a recent vote on trade legislation in Palestine is any indication of their sympathies (the EU voted 27-0 to open markets to farm and fish products from the West Bank and Gaza Strip), the Palestinian Authority can count on at least some Western support come September. —BF

Sarkozy is not campaigning for a Palestinian State, he is running interference.
Watch how this story develops. Sarkozy’s proposal is for a pseudo Vatican style State which is unacceptable. When the Pals refuse it will be “Oh well, the Palestinians never lose an opportunity to lose an opportunity” - Gallic shrug and Europe votes against full statehood. Result - status quo.
Watch.

Sarkozy is owned by zionist Loreal and therefore not a valid player in Palestinian independence.

Ain’t no state for “Palestine” to create.
Report thisThey have nothing of value to make or sell, including
intellectual properties, and they are incapable of
governing themselves. Hamas vs. Fatah anyone? These
people are, per capita, the largest recipients of

by their completely corrupt and inept ‘leadership’.
Ste my ass. It’s just political smoke and mirrors
designed to put pressure on Israel without giving
anything in return. No recognition of Israel as the
sovereign homeland of the Jewish people, no actual
renunciation of violence and the use of terror
against Jewish civilians in Israel, nothing at all.

Not to question your claims concerning Sarkozy’s involvement with the Mossad but

grant Palestine statehood; this would NOT be in Israel’s interest! What’s wrong
with this picture?

Sarkozy is not Jewish.
Though he may be sympathetic to Isreal, France has always supported the Palestinian cause and his call for EU unity behind statehood for the Palestinians serves what purpose for Israel? Especially with its present archly nationalist government.

It is important that the full weight of Europe be behind the creation of a Palestinian state. The Palestinians cannot expect any great pressure from the US due to a very powerful pro-Isreali lobby in America.
Let’s not forget that these people have been driven out of house and home where they lived for centuries, are stateless and with a bleak future if they do not obtain a homeland recognized internationally.
Europe has given the Palestinians far more support than any other nation in the sixty years since their general exodus from Palestine (in 1948) when the UN declared the state of Israel.
The EU should indeed continue its support until there is an official Palestinian nation.
