Fun with French insults: French presidential candidate François Hollande’s team looked across the English Channel for a little verbal ammunition against Nicolas Sarkozy.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has already famously been called “Sarko the American,” but the campaign team behind his challenger François Hollande (pictured) found another brand of international insult to toss at the incumbent and see if it sticks in time to do damage at the polls in April. Specifically, Hollande’s campaign manager went after Sarkozy on the subject of immigration, comparing him to—mon dieu!—a certain kind of British leader.  —KA

The Telegraph:

“I had the impression I was listening not to a French president, because a French president is someone who always wants to construct Europe, to build it, to take it forward, but almost a British Prime Minister, a Conservative,” he said on France 2 state TV.

What do you expect from a man who is called “Sarko the American.” He is an embarrassment to his nation! Hollande is much like Obama or Tony Blair (he considers to be his hero).

He believes in Capitalism tempered by alms giving and will keep France as a hand maiden for the American imperialism.

What do you think of Jean-Luc Mélenchon?

“Hollande is full of shit.”

And Sarkozy isn’t? And please don’t call them austerity measures: what they are is what Bronowski called war, ‘A highly organized form of theft’.

Hollande is full of shit however, he’s not going to reverse Sarkozy’s austerity measures. France’s Socialists are like Greece’s PASOK party by now.

One of the best put downs of a French President came many years ago when Charles Degaulle was complaining about all those evil English words creeping into the noble French language and culture. Someone in the Readers Digest wrote a hilarious reply, using French words that have been accepted as English for hundreds of years.

I have a lot more spicy language to fit against the plastic smile of that skinny weasel Sarkosky.  Most of it would be considered obscene, so I’ll just call him a runty rancid racist rat.

If France and England could just get over their historical animosities, they might look to the west for better insults, or “power-slights” as I like to call them.

Hello!!!

A big bunch of uncultured morons right over here.
