Sandusky Found GuiltyPosted on Jun 22, 2012
Former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky was convicted Friday of sexually abusing 10 boys over a period of 15 years. The scandal, which cost Penn State’s legendary football coach Joe Paterno and the university president their jobs, unfolded in the media since it became widely known last year. Explicit details of the abuses were disclosed during a two-week trial. It took just 21 hours of deliberation for the jury to find Sandusky guilty on 45 of the 48 charges. Judge John Cleland said Sandusky would be sentenced in about three months. —Posted by Tracy Bloom
