Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has been retained as an adviser by Peruvian presidential candidate Keiki Fujimori, who is hoping to toughen up her reputation on fighting crime in the South American country. Giuliani launched a “broken windows” policing strategy that was credited as dramatically reducing crime in the Big Apple under his tenure. Fukimori is the daughter of imprisoned former President Alberto Fujimori, convicted of ordering his military to carry out massacres and disappearances. Giuliani, once “America’s Mayor,” has bounced among roles since finishing his second mayoral term in 2001, along other things running a dismal campaign for president in 2008. He has faced a great deal of criticism for leveraging his handling of the 9/11 aftermath for political gain and for his early downplaying of the health hazards faced by 9/11 responders. Fujimori and Giuliani should make quite the pair.  —KDG

GlobalPost:

It was Rudy Giuliani’s signal achievement: reducing crime in the Big Apple.

He’s been out of City Hall for almost a decade now, and didn’t get far in his 2008 bid for the presidency, but the former New York City mayor is still cashing in on his expertise.

Peruvian presidential candidate Keiki Fujimori has hired Giuliani as an adviser to boost her law-and-order credentials. Giuliani is expected to help Fujimori’s campaign design public safety programs.

Giuliani arrived in Peru on Sunday and met with several mayors in Lima, as well as with members of Fujimori’s senior staff, reported La Republica.

He said he went to a police station and jail and then was going to give recommendations on how to reduce crime. “Your system is in need of tremendous repair,” Giuliani said.

The thing that sold Rudy on the gig was that Keiki promised he could have his pick of her wardrobe as he dressed to escort her to the monthly Peruvian Coke Ball.

Yo! Whats Keiki need ol’ Rudy for when she has a perfectly good model in her daddy to follow in how to deal with the Peruvian scum and rabble that want to upset the neo-liberal applecart?

Rudy Giuliani is a zionist stooge and complicit in the controlled demolition of the WTC and the deaths resulting from it.

I wish him pain and misery the remainder of his pitiful existence and hope to be alive to witness it.
