A crowd of demonstrators sporting red shirts clambered over barbed wire and battled with police and military troops before taking over an anti-government TV station in Bangkok on Friday, signaling victory by returning the People’s Television Station to broadcast mode after the Thai government had pulled its proverbial plug on Wednesday. —KA

hello. it is not being covered here because it IS a good example of the peaceful overthrow of a conglomeration government, based upon shareholder and investor interests; over those interests of the working citizenry. it is being portrayed (as much as possible) as a violent uprising by disgruntled poor people, but not only is nobody being killed; some of the military openly support the cause. i am thinking this is very similar to what happened with ENRON investors in India, trying to open a LNG utility, at four times the previous cost of electricity, and the public not standing for it. could be the forerunner to ‘cap and trade’ in this country.
