Quarterly Profit Takes a Tumble at NYTPosted on Feb 2, 2012
Heads are no doubt bowing at The New York Times as the paper’s parent company reported a fourth-quarter profit decline of 12.2 percent—a consequence of the group’s inability to make up for continuing drops in print advertising revenue with rising subscriptions and digital advertising. —ARK

Howard,
My favorite zionist tourguide.
Unfortunately for you and the israelis the NYT has proved itself complict in propaganda and lies too many times, it has lost much of its credibility and is viewed as the hasbara tool it is no matter how well the articles are written, the missing ingredient is the truth.
Heres a real good place to get real news and perspective from a vantage of many viewpoints.

Howard:
Stop cultivating monolingual propaganda slurping.
Lots of newspapers are better than the NYT. La Jornada, in Mexico, is one of the best: http://www.jornada.unam.mx.
For papers that are not dailies, Le Monde Diplomatique.
There are a half a dozen papers in Europe that are far better, even though they do not meet my standards, El País among them.
The NYT went into the toilet—and was flushed—close to 20 years ago. When I returned to the US briefly in 2000 International News had shrunk to half a page of unattributed gossip about The Enermy of the Day.
Don’t know how you missed that….

An object lesson on the consequences of giving up journalism to become the Imperial Stenographer of Record.

I see I am not the only person who sheds no tears at the newspaper industry’s decline. After a friend asked me why I thought the NYT was a lousy paper, I explained that one should be suspicious of “news” attributed to “undisclosed sources,” unless there is some reason to suspect that the source might be in danger of her life (unlikely if the source is a government conduit for propaganda).
I really don’t think the newspaper industry is hurting because of the dearth of digital ads or whatever. People who might read a newspaper have learned they can find much better news online, often from overseas newspapers!

Looks like the world’s richest man, Mexican magnate Carlos Slim Helu, guessed right again. he’s going to end up with the real estate the NYT owns in Manhattan—just like he ended up with many key colonial buildings in the Historical Center of Mexico City.
He didn’t get to be the world’s richest, and pulling away from the pack even, by guessing wrong.
I will shed no tears for the NYT—zionist mouthpiece that prints opinion pieces and calls them news (sic).

Good for them. It’s what they deserve for years of misinformation and outright lies to the public. Bye, bye NY(Bad)Times and good riddance.
