Pope Opens Up on Condom UsePosted on Nov 20, 2010
Renowned sexpert Pope Benedict XVI, reversing or at least detouring from the Catholic church’s hard-line stance against contraception, now says that condoms might be a good idea for prostitutes. Benedict claimed that the use of condoms could reduce HIV transmission, especially among sex workers. But he went on to say that the “sheer fixation on the condom implies a banalization of sexuality.” —JCL

The original interview was in German. The Italian translator changed ‘male prostitutes’ to ‘prostitutes’. Since men having sex with men doesn’t technically involve ‘making babies’, Ratzinger thinks it’s ‘morally responsible’ for them to wear condoms to protect their partners. Forget about all the vulnerable people in developing countries who are infected by their husbands or wives, gee, we better not stop a baby being made during sex, that would be morally BAD. Even babies with HIV who die without growing up have a moral imperative to be born and suffer and die ‘cos the almighty church says so. The Humane Vitae doctrine isn’t about being ‘moral’ or traditional or out-of-date: it’s about upholding and promoting patriarchy and the oppression and the great (unacknowledged, dismissed, mocked) suffering that it causes women which denies them their selfhood, results in much higher birth-rates, much less resources to go around, and a much lower standard of living for all, except the powerful. Like the Pope, who thinks modernizing the doctrine will emasculate his church and his position. Which to me is the epitomy of immorality.
The church desperately needs to be ‘emasculated’ before it can claim any true moral authority.
Definition of emasculation: what happens when a man steals a woman’s stuff and she fights to get it back and wins.

I thought he said MALE prostitutes. I guess so his priests who rape young boys won’t give them STDs.

He should also recommend it to his pedophile priests so the altar boys won’t be at risk for STDs and AIDS.

The Pope is a silly old man in red slippers. “A banalization of sexuality”? Coming from a man who is allegedly celibate, a man with no wife or children this is grotesque. What would he know about real life in the real world? Nothing. So he should shut up. Alternatively he should go and live in a brothel for a while so he can understand why condoms are needed to prevent HIV infections and also overpopulation - something the Catholic church favors greatly.
Fuck off, shuole unless you’ve got something to say - and clearly you don’t.
