Police Give Occupy D.C. a Tidying

A cleanup crew removes items from the Occupy encampment in McPherson Square in Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C., riot police swept away much of one of the last remaining Occupy encampments early Saturday morning, clearing McPherson Square of tents banned under area rules while leaving those that met regulations. Six protesters were arrested, but Occupiers are still permitted to demonstrate at all hours.

AP at The Guardian:

Dozens have been camped since 1 October in McPherson Square, just blocks from the White House. Similar to the New York protesters, who strategically occupied a park near Wall Street to highlight their campaign against economic inequalities, the District of Columbia group selected a space along Washington’s K Street – home to some of the nation’s most powerful lobbying firms.

On Saturday, the police used barricades to cordon off sections of McPherson Square, a park under federal jurisdiction, checked tents for mattresses and sleeping bags, and sifted through piles of garbage and other belongings. Some wore yellow and white biohazard suits to guard against diseases identified at the site in recent weeks.

By mid-day police had arrested six people, including four protesters who refused to move from beneath a statue and two others for crossing a police line.

yes, She lots of others are watching the store…..including people who are not only
a hell of a lot more clear about what our constitutional rights really are but are
also responsible enough to clean up their own waste products and don’t feel the
urge to make others clean up for them while they whine about it.

do we really need our freedoms protected by arschlochs too lame
to keep ?themselves clean and too clueless to meet their basic
responsibilities as adults?

Is there anyone else watching the store?  If you don’t keep your eye
on it, you might lose them altogether.  Them are the freedoms which
you and the rest of America enjoy being protected to have.  Is that the
politics of fear?

What exactly are the basic responsibilities as adults?  Do you think
the freedoms protected by the 1st Amendment are safe from assault?
Might take a look at all, ALL, every single one of the programs offered
by the Republicans to woo the votes of the American populace.  Might
as well take the Constitution and flush it down the Republican toilet!
That is exactly what they are trying to do.  It is a shit document to
them.  Not even good enough as toilet paper.

Frankly and personally I’ll take and support those dirty Occupiers
who at least keep the notion that there still is a Constitution in the
news.  What’s a few dead rats in their midst, just look at the greedy
contaminating Republican zombierats in ours.  Far as piss in bottles?
Well if they had decent toilets…. Ah, sech is life when you have to go
potty.

Okay Hetro, texting apparently shows its disadvantages in attempted cognition, attempting a constant cryptic ability to engage in coherent discussion, but failing once again. One can gather and guess a great love for stereotyping and lumping all of everything into one! As for the clueless, the GOP/Tea Bags fit the description quite nicely. Now for clear cut arschlochs, this is dove tailing at its best when looking at the GOP/Tea Bags.  Though I doubt this was your intent?

“do we really need our freedoms protected by arschlochs too lame to keep

OWS is alive and well, and has metamorphosed into a stronger more viable movement, they do not need no stinking tents, in fact I see OWS being a strong influencing factor in the 2012 election, again the 99 percent opposed to the monied 1 percent, a hard row to hoe, simply because previously 94 percent of the candidates with the most money have won elections, hopefully this is changing, me being optimistic!

where’s congress while our rights are being trampled? how come only a few of our
legislators have said anything about this injustice?

damn, those were some important dead rats and piss-filled bottles that the DC
protestors had cruelly stolen from them.

The clean up probably cost more than Mittins makes in a day 57 K,  which is more than what 90 percent of the people in this great nation make in a year. Apparently a clear difference between Mittins hard work collecting his money and the 90 percent mooching!

How much is the 1st Amendment worth?  How many have been
injured or paid with their lives testing the protections guaranteed
by the Constitution?  How long would this country escape anarchy
without the Constitution?  How long will the people no longer endure
Wall Street’s corrupting purpose and scheming effect of money on
politics?

How much did the clean-up cost? And did the Occupiers pay for it? Or are they mooching along as usual?
