This just in: Sarah Palin may not be a shoo-in for the GOP’s 2012 presidential nomination, according to a new CNN poll released on Tuesday. The survey also suggested that President Obama hasn’t squandered his support from Democrats, even after making several conciliatory gestures to the right side of the aisle this year.  —KA

CNN via Salon:

According to a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Tuesday, 78 percent of Democrats questioned in the poll say they want to see Obama at the top of their party’s ticket in 2012, with only 19 percent saying they would prefer someone else as the Democratic presidential nominee. The 19 percent figure is the lowest figure since March, when the question was first asked.

[...] In the battle for the GOP presidential nomination, the survey suggests Palin may have some work to do if she throws her hat in the ring. Only 49 percent of Republicans say that they are likely to support Sen. John McCain’s running mate in 2008 for the Republican nomination in 2012.

By selecting Sarah Palin as his running mate in 2008 you have to give Sen. McCain’s campaign committee credit for not underestimating the stupidity of the American people.

Where is Star Fishy when you need her?  I am sort of beginning to like Shara Palin, she has become like a mediocre song played over and over again on the radio,  after listening enough times, it starts to sound good.  Another choice to remember,...... the song “Its a small small world” on the Disney Land ride.

That Democrats would prefer a seated Democratic President to top the ticket next election cycle seems easily understood. Especisally if their only motivation is to remain in power.

That some Republicans may have reservations about Palin seems a good thing. I thought George Walker Bush an imbecile, but Palin may be dumber than a bag of hammers…..
