Salam Fayyad, right, shown here with Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Støre in 2009, is shaking things up in the Palestinian government.
In a move that has a little to do with the Egyptian revolution, or at least lip service is being paid to same, Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad announced Monday that he will be swapping out his Cabinet for a new one in the next couple of weeks. —KA
Los Angeles Times:
The announcement came as a surprise because the Palestine Liberation Organization, which created the authority, announced Saturday that it would hold long-delayed presidential and legislative elections by September, potentially replacing the government.
Palestinian officials presented the Cabinet reshuffling as a move to address growing calls for democratic reform, which elsewhere in the Arab world have led to leaders being ousted in Egypt and Tunisia.
“But even before Egypt, there has been a consensus for some time that the Cabinet needed to change,” said government spokesman Ghassan Khatib, noting that several positions have been left vacant for months. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas “believes we are about to enter a new period with new challenges, and we need a new and fresh Cabinet.”

The Palestinians need a government of freedom-fighters
I can always count on you, Mr. Sword of Allah, for your call to violence.

Only in the crooked mentality of an evil Zionist, like nefesh, freedom-fighting connotes with violence. Freedom-fighters wherever they are and whatever methods they use in the cause of freedom and liberty will always stand as the creme of the crop and the salt of the earth. All others are cowards and pieces of dirt!
Moses, may peace be upon him, was an exemplary freedom fighter with whom I have closer affinity than the misguided evil colonialist Zionist nefesh!
I have no objection to the Palestinians adopting the new Egyptian method of freedom-fighting. I suspect it will be far more effective than their current and past methods. Of course, the idea was advanced about 25 years ago by, of all people, Tom Clancy in “The Sum of All Fears”.

The Palestinians need a government of freedom-fighters, not office seekers and holders for either their self-aggrandizement or self-enrichment!
Abbas is a sell-out to both America and Israel, and as such he is part of problem and not the solution; therefore he must go first before anyone else!
