October 1, when the protesters tried to take over the Brooklyn Bridge and shut it
down to traffic and the NYPD managed to arrest them bloodlessly was a real
highlight.

Maani,

Why did you know?  It should be clear by now that I will continue to ratchet up the level of honesty on this particular subject.  I’m tired of the violence and destruction brought on by petulant children.

Occupying physical spaces, refusing to leave after a protest, hurting people and breaking things forces law enforcement to react in physical ways.

Last weekend over 70 people were detained for being unruly.  Roughly 40 people were arrested.  There were numerous incidents of vandalism.  Nine police officers were assaulted.  Three police officers were injured.

Why did I know before I clicked on this thread that IMaxTroll would be once again posting his myopic, ridiculous drivel?  LOL.

gerard,

I beg you, PLEASE, start dealing with facts and not your perceptions.

Come back here in May/June and highlight where I am wrong.

At the risk of useless repetition, I risk beating a dead horse to call attention here, again, to the relationship of prognostication to encouratement, even causation.
Phrases like “OWS ... would be played out by the end of December,” unless “of course .. the rampant violence… seen all over the country ...” “we can expect more premeditated confrontation” ... “every idiot who provokes law enforcement to act aggressively” ... “...plans are in the works to heighten tensions in the hopes that violence ... “
“deeply flawed…”  “people will be hurt. or worse”
Threat, threat, threat, sky-is-falling!  Prejudgment, prejudgment.  All of it inflated fear-mongering, trying to bend the future to fit personal beliefs.  Why?

In the beginning of Nov. of last year I wrote how OWS would be played out in the media and in the minds of Americans by the end of December unless, of course, the rampant violence from ‘Occupy’, seen all over the nation last year, were to continue.

We can expect more premeditated confrontations and violence from the same ‘Occupy’ crowds beginning this May.  We can also expect to see the democratic party distance themselves from these petulant children while the Republicans highlight every idiot who provokes and dares law enforcement to act aggressively.

Plans are in the works to heighten tensions in hopes that violence breaks out in several cities simultaneously.  This protest model ‘Occupy’ has employed is deeply flawed.  People will be hurt, or worse.

Few news sources are bothering to cover the many and various actions and activities of Occupy all over the country that are continuing. Ordinary news sources want to make it appear that nothing is happening. Keep your eyes on Firedoglake, Truthout, Salon.com, Counterpunch and Common Dreams, as just a few better sources for Occupy News, in addition to OccupyWallStreet.org.
