O’Donnell Drops the Marx Bomb in Delaware Debate

AP / Manuel Balce Ceneta

Delaware Republican Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell speaking at the Values Voter Summit in Washington in September.

Senate candidate and tea party favorite Christine O’Donnell has done her darnedest to lose the whole “witch” label as she makes her play to join Delaware’s ranks in Congress, but she was more than ready to brand opponent Chris Coons with her own scary term in their debate on Wednesday.  —KA

The Caucus in The New York Times:

A feisty, aggressive Ms. O’Donnell called Mr. Coons a Marxist whose beliefs came from a socialist professor and said he would “rubber stamp” the policies of the Democrats in Washington. Mr. Coons raised questions about whether Ms. O’Donnell’s faith would drive her positions on social issues like abortion, prayer and evolution.

... “I am not now nor have I been anything but a clean-shaven capitalist,” Mr. Coons said.

ITW, using the analogy in the context of a man and his daughter, still living under his roof and under his wing.

Me thinks I was recollecting that story of an off duty police officer scaring his 16 year old daughter’s 16 year old boyfriend because he defrocked his daughter…. happened a month or two ago I think…

You bring in a lot of irrelevant red herrings.  How does a guy “convince” a woman to fall in love with him? I never knew any way other than actually falling in love with her.  I know pimps do it all the time, but we have OTHER laws to deal with them.

So are you going to chop off the guy’s head and stone your daughter?  I just don’t get it.

If your daughter is NOT an adult, it may well be statutory rape. Otherwise, if she consented, it’s NOT YOUR BUSINESS!

You also ignore the obvious: She loves him, he loves her and all they want is to be together. Several cases have emerged where the family insists she marry some scummy, disgusting older man who will benefit the rest of them, and she doesn’t want that, and tries to run off with the man she loves.

Do you assume that every man who sleeps with a woman he’s not married to has evil intentions?  Wow! I know lots of people who live together without marriage.  Some stay that way, some break up, some get married.

Privacy spilling out?  Someone bragging, someone spying? It’s still private.  Private and secret do NOT mean the same thing.  It’s no secret that a married couple have sex.  It is, however, still private.  Think about it.

Tell that to a normal, 18 year old male frothing in testosterone.  He’d likely say, “Yeah, but for me right now, it’s neck and neck down the home stretch.

Getting laid isn’t the same as being a valued human being… for empty vessels of walking flesh, may look attractive and be seductive for whatever grievous thing they do for a living, it is still a banal attribute of the human.

The perception is upside down.. or backwards, or inside out… however can be best analogized.

As one matures, one can see that value lay not with the shiny and pretty, nor mass consensus, for that is Babylon… but value lays with character, wisdom and understanding of the world and keeping oneself from being polluted by it, in all senses figuratively and otherwise.

“In this culture, shame is usually enough to deter ‘unsavory’ behaviour.”

That used to be the conventional wisdom when I was growing up.

Since then they added lucrative bonuses, gated communities where the thieves can live amongst themselves, and all the rage is buy every luxury item as advertised on tv.

Example:

The ones got the most ass in college weren’t the jocks or the good looking guys, it was the drug dealers.  Sex was at a premium and every male was trying to get his love life off the ground.  The ones who sold grass, lived off campus, smoked a little dope and made a little love.
It was beer and attempts at Barbershop Harmony for the rest of us.

The twists of illogic - are comical -
Being inspired by a professor who was Marxist makes you a Marxist - duh..
Truth be known, academia generally holds typically left-wing political views.
A good educator doesn’t endoctrinate his students in his personal views.
Those politically blinded persons who want to believe that Coons is a Marxist, need to educate themselves as to what Marxism really is. Socialism is not reducible to Marxism - and Coons isn’t even a socialist - especially since O’Donell has inconsistently accused Coons of making corporate deals.

ITW, agreed… yet this land here allows for such consideration within law ( or at least is used to ).

The crux I think is what is allowed to be ‘socially acceptable’ behaviour for starters.

What anyone does behind closed doors is their business, unless that somehow spills out into the street.

Then it is the issue of others who witness / know of whatever.

In this culture, shame is usually enough to deter ‘unsavory’ behaviour.

Your example, either the man boasted, the woman spilled the beans.. or someone found out ( whether infidelity or otherwise )...

But I’d say this:  What if it was your teenage daughter, whom you love and believed to have raised a particular way, and some schmuck convinced her to fall in love with him, he had what he wanted.. and she’s jilted, used and now not a ‘lady’ anymore ( her innocence is GONE )...

What can / could one do as recompense?  Or would ‘society’ step in and convince you ‘she was going to lose her virginity anyway one day’ or ‘why would you expect her to wait until marriage / she found the man that would actually love her?’

For the Taliban, it makes them sick to their stomachs to think that a young, unmarried woman may have sex with a young man she loves.  It makes them so sick they cut off his head with a sword and stone her to death.

Nobody has a right to stop consenting adults from what they do with each other in private, regardless of whether it makes you sick to your stomach.

Whatever happened to minding your own business?

How hard is it to understand 3 conditions that must all be met:
1) Consenting
2) Adults
3) in Private

So if anyone is NOT consenting (coerced doesn’t count), not an adult, and it’s not in private, the State has a right to step in.  Even the USSC has finally said this.

What’s interesting is when you are FORCED to accept people’s lifestyles, no matter how offensive they may be deemed to be, either due to religious beliefs, or some unwritten moral code.  Yet this reluctance to be ‘made to accept’ any particular group or credence over another crosses the conscience-sensed individual, and I think is wrong.

Good point with the public being fed cool movies about vampires and such… giving the adherence to such things a mainstream acceptance… and you’ll be ostracized for expressing opinion, thoughts or dislike of it.

So we now believe when she says in such a calming and nice voice: “I’m not a witch.”

O hope she found redemption and has steered clear from that stuff.. but that should be RED FLAG enough to show she is unfit to lead.  PERIOD, on to the next possible yahoo to rally behind.

For just like when this poor gal was laid on a table with blood and candles and pentagrams and the whole costume party ( which is on sale now btw ).... that stuff was done behind close doors… and so should allot of other things folks want to do…. but should try to make another like, accept or be happy about… when it may just make one sick to their stomach… and maybe THAT is violating someones right to peace lol.

If Coons and Obama are Marxist I’m the Vatican and all the Swiss guards. Obama is a centre right politician. The things he believes in are completely uncontroversial in most parts of the world and are not Marxist. Marx believed that government would wither away and people would be able to govern themselves. To that I can only say Marx never met George W. Bush or Dick Cheney or John Boehner or Tom de Lay. Some people can’t govern themselves and shouldn’t be allowed to govern anyone else. Most normal people accept that government is only as good as the people who get elected and grandiose statements on how ‘bad’ government is, in and of itself, as an idea, just leave me baffled. Government was only ever invented in the first place because it was needed and we are still far off from the day when government can safely wither away. So the point of the article is completely valid: what you see is what you get and if you don’t want a government run by far right flakes don’t vote for the Republicans or the Tea Party.

Tropic Girl, step away from the bong. When you believe Obama is a Marxist this is a clue that you’ve smoked too much.

Rodney,

In Massachusetts, the Republican candidate, Charlie Baker, promises to cut 5000 government jobs.

A day later, the investigative team of the local rag reveals that a family of Judges and Judges Magistrates are hauling in $500,000 a year.

Good news for Charlie.

I say, OK, get rid of them.  Now you have 4996 more to go.

Let’s start with the $20,000 a year receptionists.  Get rid of them all.

Next, sponsor a bill where each family has to buy 1 of all its goods from WAL-MART.

It’s the economy, stupid.  We need to keep the dream alive.

Chaos is coming.  Read “Surviving the Cataclysm” by Webster Tarpley, written in 1997.  It’s all there.

2,2010. And those who vote for them will be the
reason America gets what it deserves. Just like eight
years of Bush we are a glutton for punishment. Can’t
seem to get enough of it. We vote people in office
who hate government. They hate government workers
even more. They hate gays, poor people and basically
any non white person who speaks with an accent. They
hate the fact that we have a black president and
their goal is to turn the civil rights laws back to
the Jim Crow era and our labor laws back to the
1800’s. They will shut down government just as they
did in 1994. So America vote for the anti-government
bigots cause you ain’t seen nothing yet.

I think O’Donnell is a Marxist. It’s clear she’s a Marxist.

She got her intellectual ideas from Harpo Marx.

She got her articulation of them from Chico Marx.

“Next-a week I teach-a you how to breathe.  So don’t-a breathe till then.”

That’s it. Marx brothers tomfoolery.

Reminds me of a kid in a football tryout in high school who was injured on a play.  He told the coach to put him back in ‘cause it only hurt when he breathed.’

To all hopeful Tea Partiers, hold your breath till November 2nd.

Hey, hey, hey!!!

Coons IS a Marxist. The entire fake progressive group
around Obama are Marxist.

If you don’t understand Marxist views, then just
admit it. Study up. But there is really no need to
deny it. They are very, very proud of it and have
waiting many years to use this country as their
socialist experiment.

There is a place for Marxist ideals, perhaps during
wars, such as World War II, terrible emergencies and
so on. That is really the only reason to offer up,
HARD FOUGHT FOR, freedoms and control to a central
government. And it SHOULD BE TEMPORARY.

This nasty type of socialism, that Obama favors, is
NOT NECESSARY. We are not ourselves in dire straits.
The banks and international corporations are. They do
not hire American workers anyway. They just take our
money.

Our dire straits are completely the result of
theiving banks and politicians. The entire population
of the rest of the rebelling world knows it.

Obama and Bush went even further. They helped CREATE
emergencies to make us think we are in need of
Marxist/socialism. Just like Britain that went into
severe socialism, during the war, and never came out,
by design of the politicians and the “queen”.

If you want this kind of socialism, and, of course,
the big corporations will be totally in bed with it,
then vote for the COON-MAN.

If you want a chance to get off the vampire merry-go-
round, for your own sake and that of your
descendants, vote for Christine O’Donnell.

Our forefathers and their families FOUGHT HARD for
these freedoms. The Obama agenda is to take them
away.

Just look at the asshole… Defending Don’t Ask,
Don’t Tell, Attacking Lawyers Trying to Help the
Foreclosed Upon, even though this is double-dipping
on the part of the banks, and ATTACKING THE AMERICAN
PEOPLE, ALONG WITH OTHER COUNTRIES, to keep the
borders open and murderous.

This is a very sick man, a very sick Cinderella witch
(recently violating Chicago election laws yesterday)
and a VERY, VERY sick fake progressive, socialist,
Marxist group of politicians, and a fake family,
agenda, and fake ideals.

They must be stopped before THEY ruin Medicare and
any other useful thing. Because THEY LIE.

I’ve had enough of this kind of socialism and I
believe it will be thrown out on its ear by the
American people. Its too corrupt.

‘Business Solutions’ reads the heading on the Google Front Page.  Well, I’ve got one for ‘The O’Donnell’ and the other Tea Party enthusiasts:  Job Insurance.  That’s it.

It is based on the Health Insurance model and uses the tactics of the establishment’s attack on education.

The model is this.  Everyone pays a premium to be represented by professional negotiators in any labor dispute.  Unions will no longer be necessary.

Attack unions as they’ve always done and promise a business solution to every man and every woman’s dream of a pursuing a fruitful career.

The business end will be as the Health Insurance companies do.  Check all the information and if any ‘i” is not dotted or any ‘t’ is not crossed, then they are SOL, ‘shit outta luck.’

Thay can, however, go back to zero and start over and reopen their account.

This is great for sociopaths like the management sharks of GE that Jack Welch put together.  It could be a ‘big earner’, as the mafiosi used to say.

Good Time Charlie Baker, running for Governor of MA, is now using his success at this scam in his campaign ads.

He’s touting himself as a great businessman.  But then, between you and me, who wouldn’t be?  He had unfortunate workers paying their Harvard Pilgrim premiums, and he was taking the loot, paying higher dividends to the share holders and returning nothing to the sick or injured claimants.

That’s why Job Insurance (JI) is a winner.  Take the premiums.  Negotiate (wink, wink) and come back with the finding that is too bad, but you are SOL.

For an additional charge, we’d be glad to continue to fight for you.

It’s a winner.  I’m telling you it’s a winner.
