Neon Tommy’s Didi Beck snapped this photo of an Occupy L.A. tent with posterboard signage on Oct. 6.

Despite being swarmed and ejected by LAPD officers early Wednesday morning, members of the Occupy movement’s Los Angeles contingent are regrouping and figuring out how to put their collective power to best use in other similar demonstrations in the future.  —KA

KTLA via Chicago Tribune:

With the ‘Occupy L.A.’ encampment at City Hall over, organizers say they will not be silenced and are planning future protests.

Organizers say more short-lived encampments might spring up at various locations, including banks, the homes of bank executives, or even golf courses and country clubs.

The leaders of ‘Occupy L.A.’ issued this statement on Wednesday:

“We call upon all sisters and brothers of the occupy movement to speak out against the use of intimidation, force and political power to break up peaceful occupations and repress or criminalize the exercise of our 1st Amendment rights.”

We are launching a major overhaul of our comments section.

In addition to more robust spam filtering and moderation, new features include the ability to rate other comments, sort how they are displayed and respond directly via e-mail or in a thread.

Unfortunately, commenters will lose their existing Truthdig identities. It's a pain, we know, but on the plus side you will now be able to log in with a plethora of options, including Google, Twitter, Facebook and Disqus accounts.

Before launching this system we spent months in discussion with our top commenters. We listened to the feedback and we hope you like what we've come up with.

Please direct any problems or concerns to us via our contact page.

“yes. trash left behind. clean-up underway. 20 tons of junk. landfill ahead.” Yeha OM, you just scribbled an emulation of your posts!

Disenfranchisement is real and it is not going away just because some clowns are tapping their jaws together and attempting to fly back to Kansas!

The answers to our problems do not lie in the heads or actions of politicians.  Get over them.

Dennis Kucinich has a plan. It is the real next move for Occupy Wall STreet.  It is a direct and frontal attack on who is preying on us.  Please read this post and follow the links.  No head busting threat here. Follow Dennis K.

Bankers have captured the government.  It is no longer a country of the people.  We live in a peasant relationship with inbred banking elite families. They lie to us about everything while they rob us blind.  We must end the fED.

Dennis Kucinich is riding in on a white horse,  Where are the 99?  Where is Mikey Big Trouble??  Dennis is going over the wall without looking back.  Attention People:  The Movement is in Motion. http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/11/29/kucinich-federal-reserve-has-captured-control-of-our-government/
