Obama to Take a Stand on Gays in MilitaryPosted on Jan 27, 2010
President Obama has taken some heat for not moving more quickly to end discrimination against gays in uniform, as promised during the campaign. According to reports, Obama will use his State of the Union address to call for an end to “don’t ask, don’t tell.”

As Chris Hedges remarks in his column this week about the farce our democracy has become, these are exactly the kinds of moronic issues the people are allowed to debate over. These issues are nothing but deflection from what really matters. The public will be starving on endless unemployment lines, their children uninsured, while arguing about gays in the military. Jefferson must be spinning in his grave.

You’re an idiot rollzone, unable to present a statement based on anything but baseless stereotypes.
That you refer to a naturally occurring sexual orientation that has been part of the human experience since the beginning of time, and will until the end as ‘dysfunctional’ only proves you are a bigot unable to see beyond your blinders.
That or a closet case..
Either way, you’re an idiot.

hello. it was hilarious watching the cameras zoom in on the military chiefs in the audience tonight when Oboymamma spoke to the sexually dysfunctional. they were unanimously unmoved at the prospect of a platoon of interior decorators, wanting to alter the olive drab of their uniforms. fox holes will certainly be challenging the limits of friendly fire. the whole notion of setting gays loose at a buffet will undermine the corps.

I’ve asked a thousand times and have never received a credible, sensible answer to the question:
Just what, exactly, about a person’s sexual orientation disqualifies them from serving in their country’s armed forces?
Congratulations, Mr. President. I’m astounded that it’s taken this long.
