Obama, Romney Call for End to Boy Scouts’ LGBT DiscriminationPosted on Aug 8, 2012
It’s rare that Mitt Romney and Barack Obama agree on anything, but both presidential candidates have called for the Boy Scouts of America to end its discriminatory practice of banning LGBT Scouts and leaders. The organization affirmed its policy of discriminating against gay members last month. President Obama is the honorary president of the Boy Scouts, while Romney formerly served on the organization’s national executive board.
