Italian journalist Beppe Severgnini made this observation on the BBC’s “Newshour” program: “If we were in America, where madmen carry guns, [Silvio] Berlusconi would be dead. We are in Italy. Madmen carry souvenir replica of the Duomo.”

The Italian prime minister was attacked in a crowd over the weekend. He was taken to a hospital with a broken nose and broken teeth.

Severgnini conceded that other world leaders would not have let an attacker get so close. Berlusconi, he said, loves a crowd.  —PZS

In the USA, every thing is hidden under the carpet, 2 months ago, some Rabbi’s and mayor’s of New Jersey, where taken in by the police for black money making and selling and dealing in human kidney’s, afther this in the papers never the slightest word, and its like this all the time.

In Europe we have a big variation top entertaners most are working in the politic field, they know its a kind of teather, on the world stage, the problem is that this playing with the reality is so normal for them, that they sometimes do not know the difference between play and reality, and on the end don’t geth a punishment.

The question for me here, was this an act of temporary insanity or an act of temporary sanity?

Or more to the point, when avenues of redress are closed (i.e., Berlusconi’s so far successful blocking of his own prosecution for his hideous and evil corruption (on many levels)), when justice is denied then pathological responses may come to the fore.

Who said we are getting blamed for all the bad stuff. What is bad about Berlusconi getting his nose broken by an Italian dissident. Maybe the attacker is related to one of the girls Berlusconi has been shagging - Oops, meant dragging [around], at all those parties…

mike:

You must be new to this website. You’ll soon learn that America is responsible for EVERY bad thing that happens in the world, either directly, via the military, or by proxy via Israel or Big Oil/Pharma/Wall Street/Agro etc. It’s all been downhill on this side of the Atlantic since 1492.

LOL America had nothing at all to do with this but some nut-job has to drag us into it? If Americans shot all of the politicians they disagreed with there would be damned few of the critters left.
