Who made your week by speaking truth to power, blowing the whistle or standing up to injustice?

Truthdigger of the Week is a feature in which we recognize a person or group that made a difference.

See past winners here. Nominate this week’s winner here.

Last week, we recognized author and feminist Naomi Wolf, whose dedication to helping protesters understand and exercise their rights got her arrested outside a private, black-tie event. Our honorable mention went to U.S. Marine Corps. Sgt. Shamar Thomas, who was caught on video telling off New York police for being overly forceful with peaceful protesters.

I already made a nomination in last weeks thread, but I would also like to give at least an EmileZ honorable mention to the Javani Rhino and the Tahrir Square woman, every time I hear her I get chills down my spine (she recently visited OWS I can’t seem to find her name or a link to her earth-shaking manifesto, but it should be available soon on DemocracyNow.org).
