Nominate Our Next Truthdigger of the WeekPosted on Oct 18, 2011
Who made your week by speaking truth to power, blowing the whistle or standing up to injustice? Truthdigger of the Week is a feature in which we recognize a person or group that made a difference. See past winners here. Nominate this week’s winner here. Last week, we recognized Citizen Radio, a people-funded political radio show with hosts who are not afraid to call out bullshit when they see it. Honorable mentions included Ketchup, the 22-year-old protester from Chicago interviewed by Chris Hedges, and pediatrician Dr. Margaret Flowers, who quit her practice to make an impact on health care as an activist.

Alan Grayson for Truthdigger of the Week
“The economy has been grossly mismanaged by Wall Street and by others. And people see that Wall Street is running our economic policy, that big oil is determining our energy policy, and that the military industrial complex is determining our foreign policy and miring us in these endless, costly wars. And people are just fed up.”

Dallas Darling from World News. He has been amazing where seeing things as they are is concerned, and also because of his ability to convey the truth - based on facts and history. Very wise and courageous man…

Chris Hedges, for Heaven’s sake—if he hasn’t already received that honor.
