Yanukovych and Putin

Russian President (now Prime Minister) Vladimir Putin, right, visits Ukraine’s Prime Minister (now President) Viktor Yanukovych (got that?) in December 2006.

With a nod to the Kremlin, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych proposed a bill to his parliament, which it approved Thursday, to keep their nation from joining NATO’s ranks. Take that, hegemonic Western policymakers!  —KA

BBC:

The law, submitted by President Viktor Yanukovych, cements Ukraine’s status as a military non-aligned country—though it will co-operate with Nato.

President Yanukovych was elected earlier this year, vowing to end Ukraine’s Nato membership ambitions and mend relations with Russia.

The economic activity of the former Ukrainian
government would become an object of the thorough audit (or the investigation, being precise). Curious thing is that the current government refused to use the services of the G3 of audit — namely the KPMG, PriceWaterhouseCoopers or Ernst&Young;. All of them seemingly took part in some unattractive affairs of the Yulia Timoshenko (ex-Prime Minister of the Ukraine) government — http://www.win.ru/en/win/4743.phtml

NO NATO FOR UKRAINE

Oh, am I glad to hear that!
The U.S. needs to have a strong coalition to counter
it’s ongoing imperialistic attempt at world hegemony.
With the demise of the Soviet Union the U.S. has just
gone insane with aggression.
Time for it to end.
