Netanyahu Unapologetic About Flotilla Raid

Posted on Jun 2, 2010
World Economic Forum

Israel is still being widely criticized for the flotilla attack, but on Wednesday Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was not about to apologize for his country’s actions in the incident or for Israel’s stance toward Gaza.  —KA

Voice of America:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was unapologetic in the face of mounting criticism.

“Israel regrets the loss of life,” said Benjamin Netanyahu. “But we will never apologize for defending ourselves.”

He said the flotilla that Israeli commandos raided on Monday intended to break the blockade, not bring aid to Gaza.

Mr. Netanyahu said Israel could not afford to let the flotilla break the blockade, saying that would have been followed by hundreds of boats possibly carrying missiles to the militant Islamist group Hamas that rules Gaza.

I came across a curious investigation, carried out
by some Israeli historian named Schlomo Sand (here’s
his wiki article).
He considered it to be the so-called “deadend of the
national mythologization”.

I’ve come to know about the guy

An Israeli apology for lying and getting caught.

The Israeli IDF are just plain punks and couldn’t hold a candle to a U,S, Marine unit past, present or future.

I have to say that all these angry responses against the only democratic nation in the middle east really reveals how so many people hate what The United States has always stood for, Freedom and Justice. Sure there have been many bumps in the road to our nations journey but one thing is clear, true americans would never side against the nation of Israel especially when the nations that surround her have all vowed to see her removed off the face of the planet. Mr. Netanyahu I salute you and the great people of Israel. May you always have victory over every fanatical terrorist regime like Iran and Syria and the hamas murder squads that do not target the military but rather innocent squares and malls of people who have no fault but being partakers of freedom.May you live covered and protected by your God Yahweh who incites the hate from your muslim neighbors who know their allah and muhammad could never stand in the true light of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob..they hate you because their father ishmael was cast off and sent away because of the son of promise Isaac was the true heir of Yahweh. In the end Israel remains Israel wins…Shalom to Israel shalom Bibi

it isn’t about hating jews, it’s about hating what
israelis are doing. the “anti-semite” argument is tired.
we know the nazis exterminated millions of jews; does that
give israel the right to oppress, for generations and with
no end in sight, the people whose country they took by
force? does that give license to israel to force
palestinian children to live in squalor with no
opportunities, no schools, no future, for the rest of
their lives? would israelis not fight back if they were
living in the conditions the palestinians endure?

why is food rationed in gaza? to make the people of
palestine suffer. why does the israeli government count
the calories that enter gaza? israel is making the
palestinians pay for fighting for a homeland.
this is a crime against humanity. the palestinians have no
monopoly on savagery, as the israelis have so ably

palestinians are human beings, notwithstanding
netanyahoo’s opinion. i do not support hamas, i do not
support any form of terrorism or violence, but i do
understand that people would get upset when you took their

when netanyahoo says he regrets the loss of life, i find
it one of the most sickening cynical statements he could
have made.

“Mr. Netanyahu said Israel could not afford to let the flotilla break the blockade, saying that would have been followed by hundreds of boats possibly carrying missiles to the militant Islamist group Hamas that rules Gaza.”
Note: Not a few relief supplies, but “hundreds of boats carrying missiles to Hamas.”  Blatant evidence of Israel’s persecution complex which, I think, explains a great deal of its belligerence and inability to come to terms with reality in a world it is helping to create.
Jews suffering from a “persecution complex” is not a new idea, and there is evidence to support it. Anf they are not alone.  The important thing is not what you call this mental block—or whatever it is—but how it can be modified so that the people affected by it can find a way to overcome it.
It is evident that it will not be cured by sending it missiles, tanks and rockets—either from the US in quantity or from the Palestinians occasionally.  But it is also evident that such an irrational fear has to be treated consistently, over a long period of time, with some kind of reassurance that the damages done by centuries of anti-Semitism are recognized, regretted, and will not continue.
Likewise the years of unfair treatment of Palestinians will not be brushed aside, but will be acknowledged and the damages repaired.
The international community—such as it is—has a lot of work to do regarding facing up to discriminations of many kinds, and to work for tolerance, understanding, apology and recompense
Let’s get down to the business of healing, and demand our government get smarter faster.  In a creative change toward justice and mutuality lies the hope of the future, and nowhere else.  Every day presents a new challenge.

Netanyahoo is full of hate for palestinians. he lost
his brother in entebbe and has made his a life of
i have never, ever, heard a single word of compassion
from him towards the palestinian people and their
plight. that isn’t to say palestinians get it right
more often, but the pass israel gets every time is
ridiculous. spare me the victim crap. they were
victims. so were many others, including the
palestinians, who still suffer under the boot of
israel’s right-wing, hateful government.

Here he goes again! What this fucken bloody murderer is, en essence,  saying to the whole world, “Go and fuck yourself! We are the Chosen People of God and everyone else is the scum of the Earth! We are doing God’s work!”

What’s his despicable words and arrogance imply is that, “We control America, the only power that matters in the world, and as long as they are our subservient slaves, we can do whatever we feel to do to prove to the whole world that they are nothing but the scum of the Earth!”

What those fucken bloody Zionists have done and continue to do is, in fact, a continuous declaration of war against all international human laws and basic human decency, and needles to say that such savages only understand the language of violence, for “nothing blunts steel but steel!”

Can the whole world rise to this challenge from those murderers who want to be the worthy successors to the Nazis!

O.K. I would just like to point out that I am entirely capable of hating a Jew equally as much as any of you. (coo coo cachu) but hating a Jew is not helpful unless by “Jew” you mean to say asshole in which case your anger is misdirected towards an individual group which may or may not be more or less inclined to ass hole behavior.

What arrogance! He should be made to drink the dirty water that he’s forcing Gaza children to drink. He should be forced to live in a tent with no job or access to the normal products of living. Instead he gets $3 billion a year from U.S. taxpayers so he can kill and blockade innocent children in Gaza and pirate, kill and kidnap peace activists in international waters. Meanwhile our corrupt US government does anything that their AIPAC beneficiaries say. US citizens are a nation of sheep. Please wake up and take control of your corrupt government. Boycott, Divest, Sanction Israel,Motorola,Caterpillar,GE,Starbucks etc..

I feel for the guy and Jews always come out on TOP, when the odds are against THEM. 1000 to 1 no problem 7 million Jews 1.3 BILLION MUSLIMS-ISLAM NO PROBLEM. International community every 25 years starts a Anti jew campaign, this is no different,  Netanyahu should go wild and not treat the next ships lightly, every day suicide bombers killing in Iraq, everyday last month, where is the out cry.Killing Gays in IRAN, stoning women in Saudi Arabia, Torture in Egypt- Syria, Iran constantly threatening Israel, where is the out cry, therefore Israel stands alone the blockade must stand, a finger goes up to the international communitee of critics, turkey`s genecide killing 1.5 million Armenians, YES SUPPORT THESE NICE PEOPLE, Humanitarians, executing Gays!. that is who you are supporting! WELL DONE WATSON!
