This still from video footage of the Feb. 20 pray-in at the Islamic Center of Washington shows four Muslim women in the main prayer area worshiping with men.

On Feb. 20, four Muslim women took a conspicuous step to protest gender segregation in Muslim mosques by refusing to relegate themselves to a cordoned-off prayer zone for women—which one of them ruefully called the “penalty box”—and instead worshiped with the men at the Islamic Center of Washington, D.C. Their presence did not go unnoticed.  —KA

The Daily Beast:

Defiantly, they continued to pray behind a row of men at the front of the mosque, when their numbers unexpectedly quadrupled. A tour group of about 100 Muslims, including about 30 women, from Hagerstown, Maryland, had hurriedly entered after the prayer had already began, unsuspectingly joining the protesters.

But the mood shifted when mosque officials called the cops.

If liberals and progressives had not paved the way, there would be no women in the U.S. Congress, therefore, one would think that because of that, all women in Congress would be progressive, because conservatism will send them back to not even being allowed to talk about politics, if conservatism gets its way; and the populace should flee conservatism, not endorse it.

In the world of fundamentalist faiths, women are relegated to second and third class citizenship. This is a fact throughout the world.
Women in India, face the same problems, in the religion of Jainism, the Muslim faith and the Orthodox Jewish faith and the Christian faith.
How is it, that according to these people G-d, who created mankind in G-d’s own image, that these people then relegate women created in G-d’s own image are given a back seat at the table?
I sincerely cannot believe that this is not a conspiracy to control the women of these faiths.
Dr. Darrel Ray, calls it the God Virus, because it infects the human mind with all sorts of thinking that if it were not based upon an mythological book and the subsequent writings would be seriously and completely thought of as a disease.
It is laughable to me that these faiths treat one-half of the world’s population as second class citizens. Worse yet, the men of these faiths issue ‘fatwas’ that women are to be beaten regularly for their own good and to beat women is approved even by Paul and his ilk.
How do women stand for this kind of treatment? WHY do they stand for this kind of treatment? Are women to be treated like this for eternity? I think not, for when men meet their creator, those who believe in one, they will find that ‘she’ is pissed at the way they treated their mothers and daughters.

Good for these brave progressive women. Not long ago women in the United States couldn’t vote, but thanks to progressive women in the United States in the past, women in the United States have the right to vote today.  Progressive is not something women want to throw away like Glenn Beck purports.

Pelosi has welcomed the populace Tea Partiers to come and join the progressives, where they really belong:

Wake up progressives, just like the Muslim women in the above post are planning and protesting for their future, we need to plan for progress of our political future, because the Right is ready to rumble and progressives, like the Muslim women, will be undermined and cast aside, and we must not allow that to happen:
