It’s D-Day for pat-down protests and so far it looks like most people just want to get where they’re going. AP reports that waits at major airports Wednesday morning were surprisingly short—the TSA estimates 20 minutes or less.

Right now the outrage over body scans and pat-downs is looking like just another media exaggeration. Unless, of course, the outraged just stayed away.  —PZS

AP via Google:

But at security lines at the airport, one of the nation’s 10 busiest, lines were moving quickly and steadily. In fact, wait times for security checks at major U.S. airports from San Francisco to New York were 20 minutes or less Wednesday morning, according to the TSA, and no serious disruptions were reported.

Asked early Wednesday if the protests were having any noticeable effect, TSA chief John Pistole told The Associated Press, “Not that we’ve seen overall. I mean we’ve, you know, had a couple of one-offs here and there.”

You don’t think these “authorities” would actually admit to delays, do you? They have far too much financially and personally at stake to allow anything to endanger this “gravy plane” they’ve got going. Just imagine… tens of thousands of “agents” and “officers,” with a few weeks training and armed with attitude and rubber gloves, now sucking at the government trough - PERMANENTLY. Even if a total boycott of the airlines was to take place, they’d all be standing around at full pay waiting to pounce on the next hapless soul for no other reason than to justify their existence. I wouldn’t put it past them to actually plant some firecrackers on some turban-type and make sure the international media announced to the world how they prevented another terrorist attack.

Guess I’m jaded, eh? You betcha. Experience is the best teacher. Our governments and their agencies lie through their teeth when it suits their purposes to do so. Anyone who believes otherwise is a fool.

Again, the Constitutional rights issue is something of a red herring - it’s essentially
another layer to the rolling psy-op that is THE GLOBAL WAR OF TERROR!

Again, the psychology: this is all necessary because the terror threat is so high - and, it
certainly is; but, the question is this: who exactly is running it?

We’re now being told it’s Al Queda in the Arabian Peninsula. Upon close examination,
we find this -

Toner Bomb Plot Used to Empower CIA

In addition to adding new urgency and a fresh dose of hysteria to the flagging war on
manufactured terror, the toner bomb plot has provided an excuse to rationalize the
global reach of the CIA.

“Officials said support was growing both within the military and the administration for
shifting more operational control to the CIA — a move that would allow the U.S. to
strike suspected terrorist targets unilaterally with greater stealth and speed,” reports
the Wall Street Journal today. “Allowing the U.S. military’s Special Operations Command
units to operate under the CIA would give the U.S. greater leeway to strike at militants
even without the explicit blessing of the Yemeni government,” or the American people
who, as usual, remain woefully uninformed.

An official source at the Yemeni government denied any UPS flights from Yemen and
wondered who involved Yemen on the issue of the suspected terror packages that
allegedly were discovered on a US cargo plane allegedly was on flight from Yemen to
London.

the False-Flag MO of late is more fizzled terror attacks (e.g. toner bombs, times-

Much ado about nothing? Can Truth Dig get anymore
authoritarian loving of late? But I guess we’ll need to
wait until the Republicans control government for the
Democrats to remember about the wars, the loss of civil
liberties and anything else so-called liberals are
supposed to care about. It’s called hypocrisy people,
and the Dems and their enablers should be choking on by
now.

Is this the depth of analysis available from this news site? Being felt up for
no better reason than to support corporate makers of “security” products
and fearmongering is A-Ok because there are workers somewhere involved
and some right wingers don’t like TSA? Never mind the lefties and
independents that don’t like it, and never mind the stupidity of employing
thousands of people to counter a “threat” less likely than winning
powerball twice in one year? I’m losing faith in TruthDig.

The picture is astonishing!  All that is missing is the nun pouring holy water over the attendant’s head.

What a divine money-making scam!  Just think of all those jobs “doing” security.  And all those jobs making “security” equipment—cameras, computers, x-ray machines, more computers to compute what the computers “find”, and all those employees in all those airports, offices and government agencies keeping us “secure” while - on the other side of the planet - we go on employing tens of thousands move people to blow up, maim and kill tens of thousands of innocent men, women and children who never in their remotest dreams thought of “terrorizing” anybody, but instead are terrorized daily by hunger, freezing cold, disease and governmental/religious fraud.  Oh happy days!
