Mmmm, Test-Tube HamburgersPosted on Feb 20, 2012
Here’s a new Frankenfood twist on classic cuisine: A team of scientists in the Netherlands are this close to producing a hamburger made of meat generated from stem cells. Soon, we will be able to enjoy the delicious taste of test-tube hamburgers and other prime laboratory-grade delicacies (but at a price). —KA

Noone would even notice a difference I’d bet. Food in this country is so awful anyways.
This reminds me of when I worked in supply on a Naval Air Station and the Wendy’s got busted by Army inspectors for not rotating the beef patties. They had to put orders (which I personally pulled) in for government patties (90-something % soy) and passed them offf as 100% beef patties as the inserts on their trays indicated. Where’s the beef?!
Then again I thought my shipmates were fucking crazy to eat there when we were in Italy after all.

I don’t see why test-tube meat is any more revolting than the real thing, actually. At least it wouldn’t have been tortured and injected with hundreds of chemicals, as most meat on the hoof is.

I am sure it is no worse for you than eating real Moo-Cow, beef - with far fewer chemicals / antibiotics! Y’all can have my share, though!

Considering the acidification and overfishing of the oceans, shouldn’t they be creating test tube fish fillets instead?

This is good news to the atrocity and cruelty and inhumanity that is factory farming, and for the Mustangs who are cruely rounded up, removed, and sold to slaughter from the public lands they roam so that ranchers can graze their damn cows for free (do we get a discount on the free-grazing meat? Uh, no).
What is it about g—da—beef that Western Civ pigs on like there is no tomorrow.
