Mitt’s It: Santorum Bows OutPosted on Apr 10, 2012
After a long primary season involving sudden upswings and fizzles, plus a couple of comebacks, there is little room left for doubt that Mitt Romney is going to be the 2012 Republican presidential nominee now that his biggest competition, in the form of the sweater vest containing Rick Santorum, has dropped out of the contest. Santorum announced his decision Tuesday in Gettysburg, Pa. Meanwhile, journalist and activist Dan Savage was quick on the Twitter trigger with a ready quip for the occasion: “Rick Santorum was never running for a term in the White House. He was running for a contract with FoxNews. That race was a success.” There you have it. —KA

Jeez, another whacko Faux news broadcaster, just what we need.
Its bad enough we have at least one whacko poster on this site.
The common thread between them is they lack humor and serve some other entity.

Dear TD,
Report thisInstead of (or in addition to) the page reads counter next to each article on the main page, can you please put back the number of comments as well? I’m not particularly interested in the article about Santorum dropping out of the race, as I probably read about it from a mainstream news service hours before it was posted here. However, given the offbeat nature of the TD commentariat, I may be inclined to read your article if I know there is a lively discussion brewing.. especially if said discussion involves degenerate name-calling and an overall lack of coherence.

My sincerest gratitude to Prick SansScrotum, dropping out and keeping his dignity like a grande dame guignol should. That man doth protest way too much, no? I can only hope his wife, doomed to live in such a calculatingly frumpy wardrobe that only a gay man would be able to envision, comes to her senses and doses her emotionally constipated husband with an arsenic laced suppository.
