Lou Dobbs for President?

Now that he’s been cut loose from his contract at CNN, former anchor Lou Dobbs is free to do his thing unencumbered by any constraints imposed by media bosses or by archaic notions of journalistic objectivity. What, you might wonder, would “his thing” be? Well, it seems as if this self-declared champion of the middle class isn’t ruling out a run for office ... yes, even that office.  —KA

Reuters:

A week after abruptly quitting his longtime job as a CNN television news host and commentator, Lou Dobbs said on Thursday he is considering career options including possible runs for the White House or U.S. Senate.

“Right now I feel exhilaration at the wide range of choices before me as to what I do next,” Dobbs, whose outspoken views on immigration and other topics often angered liberals, told Reuters in a telephone interview from New York on Thursday.

Dobbs, 64, a veteran CNN anchor who had become one of the most divisive figures in U.S. broadcast journalism, announced last Wednesday he was leaving CNN after spending the better part of 30 years at the 24-hour cable news network.

He still hosts a daily radio show.

“he will say anything to boost his ratings, even if it’s flat out wrong, illogical or injurious to whole categories of people.”

Have any of the mainstream media talking heads told us the nine one one truth? Not one.  They are all courtiers in the palace of the New World Order.  They all kiss the NWO ring, avoid the truth, and grovel for ratings.

dobb’s doesn’t “straight talk”—he fabricates. he
said on that mexicans spread leprosy, are the majority
of people incarcerated in US jails and prisons, and
that atzlan wants to reconquer the united states - all
unfounded, all disproved assertions.

whatever your view on the immigration issue, you cannot
say that dobb’s “tells it like it is.” he will say
anything to boost his ratings, even if it’s flat out
wrong, illogical or injurious to whole categories of
people.

Lou Dobbs is a man who’s political philosopgy is interchangable with countless other republicans, so what difference does it make if he runs for President or doesn’t run for President?

I’d support Dobbs 100%. People forget that he was a major Bush basher too. Yet he will be targeted by the Republican and Democrat smear machines, and attacked in the media. Recall that Ross Perot was loved when he announced, then the smear machines attacked.

I’ve watched Dobbs for years, and he so no racist, he is married to a Mexican. However, television is powerful and a lot of feeble minded people repeat whatever the corporate spinmasters put on TV. He focuses on illegal immigration, but that is a major, major problem for the working class.

It drives up rents in affordable housing.

In LA, even the Hispanic mayor complained about the thousands of illegals in government housing, while the waiting list for citizens is over three years.

Illegal immigration increases crime, not because they are more violent, but the poor and jobless need money.

Illegal immigration strains local government services and crowds school, note the other article at Truthdig.

Illegal immigration drives down wages, the old supply and demand.

Now I await the feeble minded to post corporate sayings like “they do jobs Americans don’t want” or “we are a nation of immigrants” or “its not practical to deport them” or some reference to the statue of liberty (which was built to praise the end of slavery, not immigration). People who post such nonsense live in nice areas with nice jobs distant from where illegals live, and think illegals are great landscapers, cheap construction labor for thei home expansion project, and good maids.

If you google to find rare polls, the majority of Hispanic Americans want illegal immigration stopped.

Your post is an interesting mix; however, are you pro
Dobbs, anti Obama, or, pro Obama and anti Dobbs, but
pissed off at his (Obama’s) chicken shit behavior? Calm
down and articulate your position please. Some times I
think I agree with you; but, I can’t be sure.

Lou is opposed to allowing the millions of illegal aliens to receive social services.  This is not racism.  It is straight talk.  The United States treasury is being looted by the corporations that own our federal government.  Aside from printing new money, the fed is filling computers with numbers that amount to fake money.  It is unwise to fork out money, even money that does not exist, to support the massive flow and sustenance of gate crashers, that is, third world populace that are not here legally.

As far as the presidency is concerned, that post is reserved for a string puppet, obedient to the New World Order.  Do you remember how Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul were secretly eliminated from the presidential debates?  That will be the fate of Lou Dobbs.  “We the people” are not being allowed access to honest leaders.

Lou Dobbs’s antiwar views are scarcely noticed. Are truthdig readers even aware
that he calls strenuously for all US troops to be removed ASAP from Iraq,
Afghanistan, Europe, and everywhere else? The irony is that the impotence of the
antiwar left, because of the Democratic party’s passionate attachment to Israel, is
giving more power to people like Dobbs. A lot of antiwar independent voters who
backed Obama in 2008 may vote for an antiwar 3rd-party Dobbs in 2012 - thus
ensuring a GOP victory, and a continuation of our interventionist, Israel-centric
foreign policy:

Lou Dobbs: blond, white, male, pissed off, bigoted, outstanding on the tube.  Sounds excellent for the Republicans.  Put Dobbs up against Obama and he could conceivably defeat him and defeat him easily.  Obama is one of the most despicable and cowardly people ever to be president in the postwar era. He is the Emperor of the American Idiocracy and personification of the word “chickenshit”.  That, plus an economy essentially unchanged by 2012 and the mass defection of progressives will play important roles in his defeat.  Dobbs should now begin training his nose to detect the smell of blood.

Here’s a chilling thought: How about a ticket headed by Dobbs/Palin or Palin/Dobbs?
