Kagan Poised for ConfirmationPosted on Jun 26, 2010
Elena “Shorty” Kagan will step onto the national stage when her confirmation process to become a Supreme Court justice begins Monday. Undoubtedly the confirmation hearings will bring words like stare decisis into the public vernacular again, along with a whole lot of hoopla about abortion. Let the democracy commence. Most believe that Kagan, a former dean of Harvard Law School, will be confirmed with bipartisan support. —JCL

I feel very comfortable knowing that
Goldman/Sachs is represented fairly on the Supreme Court.

Great. As an architect of the law (recently validated by our
already right-wing Supreme Court) which criminalizes even
peaceful humanitarian or legal assistance to the victims of Israel’s
occupations, she will help to deepen the subordination of the
US government to the dictates of Israel.
