Israelis and Palestinians Expect Third IntifadaPosted on Jun 1, 2011
Two separate polls found that the majority of Israeli Jews, Israeli Arabs and Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza see another intifada on the horizon if negotiations don’t yield progress soon. Seventy percent of Jews surveyed by the Peace Index said they thought a popular uprising would follow Palestine’s anticipated request for U.N. membership, while just over 70 percent of Palestinians said they expected the same without advances in the peace process. Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas has announced that he’ll ask the General Assembly to recognize Palestine in September, and the majority of the U.N. is expected to support him. As The Guardian points out, however, recognition by the U.N. does not equal statehood. Meanwhile, Israel is holding the line against Abbas’ Fatah/Hamas coalition and the U.S. remains unwilling to split from Israel on fundamental issues related to the conflict. Is another round of violence really the only possible outcome? —KDG

Hey Howard...your current Zionism’s propaganda is old & deceptive. You have been brainwashed & lied to by your zionist sources. You & the rest of your zionist pals are impacted with lies & fabrications.
READ THE FACTS FROM THE IDF DOCUMENTS ARCHIVES REGARDING WHAT HAPPENED IN 1948

The Massacres of 1948
Not Only Deir Yassin
By Guy Erlich, Ha’ir
“According to Yitzhaki, about ten major massacres were committed in the course of the War of Independence (i.e. more than fifty victims in each massacre) and about hundred smaller massacres (of individuals or small groups). According to him, these massacres had an enormous impact on the Arab population, by inducing their (departure) from the country.
Yitzhaki: “For many Israelis it was easier to find consolation in the lie, that the Arabs left the country under orders from their leaders. This is an absolute fabrication. The fundamental cause of their flight was their fear from Israeli retribution and this fear was not at all imaginary. From almost each report in the IDF archives concerning the conquest of Arab villages between May and July 1948 - when clashes with Arab villagers were the fiercest - a smell of massacre emanates. Sometimes the report tells about blatant massacres which were committed after the battle, sometimes the massacres are committed in the heat of battle and while the villages are “cleansed.” Some of my colleagues, such as Me’ir Pa’il, don’t consider such acts as massacres. In my opinion there is no other term for such acts than massacres. This was at the time the rule of the game. It was a dirty war on both sides. This phenomenon spread out in the field; there were no explicit orders to exterminate. In the first phase a village was usually subjected to heavy artillery from distance. Then soldiers would assault the village. After giving up resistance, the Arab fighters would withdraw while attempting to snipe at the advancing forces. Some would not flee and would remain in the village, mainly women and old people. In the course of cleansing we used to hit them. One was “tailing the fugitives,” as it used to be called (“mezanvim baborchim”). There was no established battle procedure as today, namely that when blowing up a house, one has first to check whether civilians are still inside. In a typical battle report about the conquest of a village we find: “We cleansed a village, shot in any direction where resistance was noticed. After the resistance ended, we also had to shoot people so that they would leave or who looked dangerous.”

Pal’s ought to be mad and upset with the 4 arab
Report thisneighboring countries who attacked Israel in ‘48 and
told the pal’s to leave while they drove Israel into
the sea.
same with the ‘67 war when these same countries
again, yes, again attacked Israel. So a result was
that Israel got the territory that was used to attack
them.
When Jordan held the west bank area for those 19
years why did they not give the land to the pal’s.???
Little tiny, speck of land that is Israel, is not
going to face down the gun barrels of people who want
to destroy it. 22 arab lands can absorb the pal’s.
One would think anyway.
3 cheers for Netanyahu.

KEEPING TRADITION ALIVE IN JERUSALEM WITH A POLICE PROTECTED POGROM ~~ VIDEO AND PHOTO ESSAY
June 2, 2011
“Remember hearing about the pogroms in Czarist Russia or other parts of Eastern Europe in the last century? Continuing the tradition, Jerusalem’s right wing, wrong, Israelis held one of their own yesterday in the local Arab neighborhoods…. escorted and protected by the local police….”“

Jerusalem Day’s racist march, escorted by police
By Noam Sheizaf
“Thousands of rightwing Israelis marched today in Jerusalem’s Arab neighborhoods, provoked local Palestinian residents and shouted racist remarks, among them “let your village burn,” “death to Mohammad” and “death to all leftists”. The event, part of the “Jerusalem Day” celebration, was organized and promoted by the municipality. Jerusalem’s police escorted the parade, and made no attempt to stop the racist calls.”

“Silwan, Jerusalem- Israeli extremists staged a racist march in honor of Jerusalem Day today, from the Palestinian neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.
The streets of East Jerusalem stood empty, save for the thousands of Israeli marchers, supported by Israeli troops, who chanted slogans against Arabs, Muslims and Christians. Phrases such as “death to Arabs” rung out. Right-wing extremists attacked a group of left-wing Israeli counter-protesters before Israeli police eyes, who did nothing to impede the assault.”

President Barack Obama
Report thisThe White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue N.W.
Washington, D.C. 20500-0001
Dear Mr. President:
Recent events suggest that terrible violence will soon erupt between Israel and the Arab population of the West Bank. When that happens, Israel will no doubt use disproportionate force, and many civilians in the Occupied Territories will perish.
You offered Israel peace, but Israel chose unlawful expansion, and it seems to invite war.
In the event that Israel uses disproportionate force in the Occupied Territories, will you continue to appease Israel? Will you allow disproportionate force and war crimes to go unanswered? I trust you will not.
I respectfully urge you, in the event that disproportionate force is used during hostilities in the Occupied Territories, to deploy U.S. military forces there to expel the Israeli Defense Forces from the West Bank.
You must help the Palestinians with military force. Your doing so will be a noteworthy demonstration of support for a civilian population that has endured an endless series of humiliations and outrages.
Thank you for allowing me to bring this request to your attention.

It doesn’t help that Truthdig blacklists the major internet sight for Boycotting, Divesting, and Sanctioning Israel as well as corporations that profit from the occupation.
Please stop censoring peaceful paths to resolution.

Netanyahu’s strategy, inciting an Palestinian uprising,
Report thisneed not happen. Hopefully, the Palestinians will be
able to see through it and table any uprising which
should send Netanyahu back to the drawing-board.
