Israeli Official Threatens Gaza IncursionPosted on Apr 2, 2010
On the same day that his government launched missiles at what it described as weapons facilities in the Gaza Strip, Israel’s deputy prime minister threatened to “raise the level of our activity and step up our actions” with “another military operation” in the Palestinian enclave. In the winter of 2008-2009, Israel launched Operation Cast Lead, a brutal military campaign in Gaza that was roundly condemned for violating the human rights of civilians. A U.N. report on the conflict found that both Israel and Hamas should be investigated for war crimes during the incident.

Howard - you must be one of those Truthdiggers Ozark referred to.
History and Hasbarah do not tell the same stories. Hamas is the second greatest stumbling block to peace. The first is the Likud and the other extreme (Neo-)Zionist Parties.
May I suggest to both, the link previously posted. (below)
For example, When the Crusaders captured Jerusalem, circa 1099, they killed all the Muslims in the city. When Salad in recaptured the city 88 years later, he allowed all the Christians to leave unharmed. Then Richard began his quest to again take Jerusalem by murdering all the Muslims in Acre.
Hamas throws bottle rockets. The Zionists shoot and bomb everyone in sight.
You’re correct Michael, learn the history.

Rockets and more rockets. The wackos in Gaza certinly do not want anything like a peaceful resoluton. Hamas’s leaders are misleading their peoople just like ‘arafat’ did. Can’t see the future one iota. Shooting themselves in the foot, so to speak.
Report thisLordee they certainly will provoke Israel to stop the rocket fire. Can’t blame ‘em.

“what it described as weapons facilities”
Yup. A cheese factory, a movie theatre and a few caravans.
This is in response to what CNN calls “a string of rocket attacks”.
Report thisNever mind that the two rockets were fired by nobody knows who and that Israel has killed about twenty Gazan civilians so far this year including two youths with bullets to the chest and head who were in the fields armed with…...gardening implements. CNN did not report this.

FRTothus printed this: “Far from being the terrorists of the world, the Islamic peoples have been its victims…”
Thereby proving that a person who obviously doesnt know history is also incapable of keeping up with current world events. The ignorance of some Truthdiggers is deep and wide.

Here we go again. Summer re-runs already. Didn’t we just see this show a couple of days ago?
Now just what could be upsetting these pesky Palestinians to lop over more over-grown bottle rockets? IDK ... unchecked colonial expansion? ... denial of basic goods and services like food, fuel or medicine? … humiliation comparable to the Warsaw Ghetto? Go figure!

That the world community—even as frail as it is—doesn’t—can’t?—put a stop to this decades-old insanity proves how sick the determination of the powerful to overwhelm the less powerful, is. We are all more or less enslaved to violence as the only, or the best way to achieve justice, power, money, security, whatever, for one side at the expense of the other side. If we were not, we would stand up, demand justice for both sides, and put a stop to it.
How trite! Everybody knows this! Why repeat it?
Report thisIs there anything else to say that will not make matters worse? Yet not to say anything indicates a selfish lack of concern.

Israel is a barbarous criminal State, period. With rights come responsibilities. If a state continues to act in a criminal manner, as Israel does, then it loses its legitimacy to any supposed right to exist. The continued and on-going US role in this crime is no secret. Would that the World Court had any power and bring the US and Israel before the Bench, but Justice hides when the barbarians are on the path. By US rules, Only the US and those it favors have the right to deadly violence.
“Far from being the terrorists of the world, the Islamic peoples have been its victims, principally the victims of U.S. fundamentalism, whose power, in all its forms-military, strategic, and economic-is the greatest source of terrorism on Earth…. People are neither still nor stupid. They see their independence compromised, their resources and land and the lives of their children taken away, and their accusing fingers increasingly point north: to the great enclaves of plunder and privilege. Inevitably, terror breeds terror and more fanaticism. But how patient the oppressed have been. Their distant voices of rage are now heard; the daily horrors in faraway brutalized places have at last come home.”
(John Pilger)
“The immiseration of the majority is an integral part of the Free World package for the Third World, the unsavory aspects of the package—the terror, the direct spoilation of people and resources, and western complicity—must be rationalized and, as far as possible, kept under the rug.”
(Edward S. Herman)
“With unfailing consistancy, U.S. intervention has been on the side of the rich and powerful of various nations at the expense of the poor and needy. Rather than strengthening democracies, U.S. leaders have overthrown numerous democratically elected governments or other populist regimes in dozens of countries ... whenever these nations give evidence of putting the interests of their people ahead of the interests of multinational corporate interests.”

come those “rockets from Gaza” can’t hit the broad side of ANY Israeli barn?
Hmmm, seems an Israeli occupation doesn’t work as well in Gaza and the West
Bank as it does in the U.S. Congress.
