Israeli Attacks Kill Six PalestiniansPosted on Dec 26, 2009
Two separate incidents have left six Palestinians dead at the hands of Israeli soldiers, marking a significant escalation in violence that comes almost exactly a year after the Israeli army began a bloody attack on the Gaza Strip. In this weekend’s violence, one Palestinian group was killed trying to cross the wall between Gaza and Israel, and another was killed during a raid on the occupied West Bank. The New York Times called it the deadliest day in nearly a year. The Times reported that the Israeli forces had been looking for the killers of a settler who was shot dead Thursday as he drove near his home in the settlement of Shavei Shomron. On Dec. 27 last year, the Israeli army began a three-week war in Gaza that Palestinians say left more than 1,400 dead. —JCL

The headline makes it sound like there were two separate attacks by the Israeli military, but that is misleading. One incident was the result of Gazans trying to infiltrate across the border, who were then shot. If there was an attack, maybe it was on the part of the Gazans? The other doesn’t sound like an attack either, more like the Israelis looking for a shooter who killed a civilian. The article is also lacking in details, but I would say your bias is showing.
