Israel Strikes at Aid Flotilla, Killing 9 (Update: Security Council)

Email this item Email    Print this item Print    Share this item... Share

Posted on May 30, 2010

Update: An earlier report of 16 casualties was based on radio reports shortly after the incident. Media outlets, including Haaretz, are reporting the military’s tally of nine activists killed.

Update 2: The U.N. Security Council held an emergency meeting called by Turkey to discuss the raid. More from: CNN, Haaretz

Earlier:

Activists trying to bring humanitarian aid to the blockaded Gaza Strip ran afoul of the Israeli military on Sunday. Shots were fired after masked Israeli gunmen descended from helicopters hovering over the flotilla as it made its way through international waters.

An Israeli radio station reported that 14 to 16 civilians were dead. (Latest reports say nine were killed).

Al Jazeera, which had a reporter on the lead ship, showed activists using sticks to fight commandos.

Life on the “freedom flotilla” earlier today:

The Telegraph:

The activists were not carrying guns, but television footage shown by al-Jazeera and Turkish television channels show hand-to-hand fighting, with activists wearing life-jackets striking commandoes with sticks.

The Israeli army said its troops were assaulted with axes and knives.

The television footage did not show firing but shots could be heard in the background. One man was shown lying unconscious on the deck, while another man was helped away.

A woman wearing hijab, the Muslim headscarf, was seen carrying a stretcher covered in blood.

Came across a curious investigation, carried out
by some Israeli historian named Schlomo Sand here’s his wiki article).
He considered it to be the so-called “deadend of the
national mythologization”.

I’ve come to know about the guy

tihsstaezevahc,

MEGA was the one they were after giving high grade intel.

I think Rahm is simply an agent of influence as the FBI likely keeps a good eye on what he sees, although the frequent trips to friendly Israel are disturbing.

Naturally, EH, you don’t get it.  Why should I be surprised by that?

A properly run Israel will see the Palestinian people as PARTNERS in everything from business to agriculture to world view.  Whether the Palestinians realize it or not, they are surrounded by enemies who hate them and would kill if they weren’t such a great pawn.  And I’m not talking about Israel! The wise move that the Likudist fanatical psychos keep destroying is to BUILD Palestine with a kind of Marshall Plan.

But I presume such obvious strategies are beyond your perception.

Inherit, I must disagree with you that the reinvention of Israel as a pluralistic state instead of a jewish state is somehow calling for its destruction as you so often imply.

I also disagree with U.S. support for alot of the arab middle eastern countries where certain tribes, religions and monarchies call all the shots often at the expense of the minorities.

Gerard:

Yes, I agree that people can also change when they find that there is a better way
to proceed and when they feel safe enough to risk changing. That’s the miracle
I’m hoping for.  But when you look at those nations that have been captured by
the appeal of nationalism and superiority, the reasonable approach to change has not been a successful one.  Too many children get raised with those values in Israel. One could say that many Palestinian children are also being raised with less than desirable values.  But there’s one big difference: Palestinian children see the destruction, the poverty, and the massive force of Israel bearing on them—they see reality. In Israel, on the other hand, children are raised to believe they are living in some kind of god-given paradise and that their enemies want to take it away for no good reason. This has created a dysfunctional national psyche. You’re right, we need not succumb to insanity.

Once again, we get the Israel-centric view, even from Israel’s critics:

“But I won’t deny that What-a-Yahoo and his buds are making it far worse
for his nation and for Jews around the world.

Inherit the Wind: can you not comprehend that the most important problem
with Israel’s behavior is that it’s bad for Israel’s victims, and not that it’s bad for
dear little Israel? We’re so sick of always, always having to consider everything
from the standpoint of what’s good for Israel and what’s good for the Jews.

The rest of us are just as important, and there are a lot more of us. Please,
please, for once, shut up about what your tribe needs and feels, and consider
what all people need and feel.

But this is an inherently anti-Semitic notion, I know. In America, an anti-Semite
is anyone who doesn’t implicitly endorse through every thought and deed the
Zionist axiom that Jews are more important than mere people.

”You’re a sick faithless psychopath to have all this hatred for people of faith. What prompted you, f—n bloody sick, to bring religion into this?! This is not about religion, low creature; it’s about justice and injustice, about human rights and its violations and about right and wrongs…”

No, no, no, Sinbaddy, you like so totally misunderstand me. You’re obviously not used to such brotherly love and understanding. I’m a true friend—not a hater—of the religious loon. I know what you people desire most and I’ve many ideas that will help you achieve that and at the same time protect the sane part of humanity.

What the religious want most is to be with their imaginary sky-daddy in his imaginary kindergarten/whorehouse in the imaginary place called heaven. And I’m in agreement with that. I wish as many of you who want to be there get to go as soon as possible. The more the better, I always say!

The problem with religious loons is that they don’t want to go to their imaginary friend empty-handed. They always want to take somebody with them –usually a good many somebodies. Especially if they’re innocently eating pizza, carrying water across a bridge, flying in an airplane, riding on a bus, or sitting at their desk in a tall building.

Understanding your desire to be out of this life and with your imaginary psychopathic friend and his little virgin sluts or heavenly kindergarten in the sky, I’ve come up with a plan that can help those who wish to leave this life—with a handful of dead to offer as a sacrifice to their imaginary friend—achieve their goal while not harming the sane part of humanity. Can you ask for anything better than that?

Here goes: My proposal is to allow all of you religious nuts to meet in a place like—this is really great because it fits in with the evangelical nutwingers eschatology—har Megiddo! That’s right the valley of Megiddo! Armageddon! The religious loons’ wet dream! Blood to the horses bridle and indescribable human suffering! Doesn’t that make you cum in your pants? You’re probably wondering how can we have Armageddon and not destroy all of humanity… it’s easy with my plan.

What I propose is that all of you loonies meet in har Megiddo to fight to the death. We can even make a cable TV show out of it! The one thing you may not like is that you will all be armed with—no more strapped on bombs—a pocket knife with a 1” blade! That way you crazies get to kill each other up close and personal! With a 1” blade you guys can gouge and dig flesh for hours on end enjoying the blood-curling screams of agony and cries for mercy while giving no quarter and expecting none! Now that’s entertainment! The best part is that we’re all winners! Even if one fails to murder a believer in a different imaginary friend that person still gets to go to the imaginary kindergarten/whorehouse of his choice because of martyrdom. We—the sane part of humanity—get to enjoy our lives and pizzas here in reality and rest easy knowing that there are less delusional psychopaths running around.

If you believe it’s not about religion, you’re crazier than an evangelical speaking in tongues and doing the helicopter dance. Why the hell do you think there is an Israel today? Why do you think Israel won’t define its borders? Hint: Because it wants all the land their little book of myth says that their god gave to them.

And since when do Muslims care about human rights? Let’s make a deal Sinbaddy baby, you watch this video poem and come back and tell us all about human rights, okay Sinbaddy? First watch the video then we’ll talk about human rights and justice.

Mehere:  “People do not change unless they are able to see how badly something is hurting them.”
This is only partly true, I think.  People also change when they recognize a better way to proceed. They also change when they feel safe enough to risk changing what they are “used to” for something different.
The urge for self-destruction is another whole issue with Israel, I have come to believe.  Remembering some Israeli officials’ advocacy of using the nuclear “Samson Option”, I can see the sick possibility as a not-surprising long-term result of centuries of persecution in Europe and elsewhere, topped by the equally sick and vicious holocaust in Germany.
Human capacity for both creativity and for destruction is limited only by the human ability to respect and explore the enormous potential of mutuality, compassion, fellow-feeling, mercy and comradeship.
In my opinion these exploration of these capacities is what we should be doing—not rehashing, challenging, counter-challenging, beating dead horses of the past.  How to get people interested in creating a more humane future for themselves and their children?  The possibilities have always been there waiting, and are still there. We need not succumb to insanity.

Actually, it applies to very few since the great majority of supporters of Israel don’t have many critics of any kind among them. It is clearly understood by those of us who are critical of Israeli policies that, besides injustice, those policies have created a destabilizing, dangerous atmosphere around the world. I do believe, however that, if there’s any hope in all this, we must focus on the root causes of the problem which is a disaster for Israelis (and other Jews.) They need to come to terms with the bizarre reality they’ve created and recognize how it is harming them.  People do not change unless they are able to see how badly something is hurting them.
**************************************

And what is that root problem?

If you are EH, then it’s Israel’s existence which must be ended, no matter the cost.

If it’s me, it’s the idiotic, moronic and CRIMINAL way Israeli governments of late have been dealing with their neighbors and even their citizens.

There is no quick fix.  But I won’t deny that What-a-Yahoo and his buds are making it far worse for his nation and for Jews around the world.

Land belongs to those that work hard to develop it.

Ray here.

Jay says this affirmation is based on the principle of squatters rights. Same principle used to usurp land from indigenous inhabitants.

Let Jay dumb it down a bit.
A couple of traveling, let’s call them gypsies, stops by your house and asks if they can camp out in your back yard for a few days. They seem nice enough and you cultural traditions has taught you to welcome and extend a helping hand to strangers.

Pretty soon these people start extending their stay and don’t seem to have any intention on leaving. They start planting your yard, they bring livestock to graze in your yard. As time goes on you notice that their friends and families start moving in. You protest and tell them they must pack up and leave your yard. Instead they come out with clubs and guns and chase you back into your house.

As time goes on the stream that flowed from the back of your yard is diverted for the exclusive use of the squatters so they can have potable water, for irrigation and livestock. This makes you existence very difficult. Every time you go to talk to the squatters to ask them to leave you get chased away with clubs and guns.

When you attempt to till the portion of you yard that you still posses they throw stones, take pot shots at you, you children, your wife, your elders. At night they sabotage your crops.

One morning you get up and low and behold there is a fence across your yard and to add insult to injury they put the fence so that the crops you planted and your livestock is now on their side of the fence. You’re afraid to be in your own house. Your kids sensing your humiliation in addition to being humiliated by these squatters one day one of them throws a stone at one of the squatters and the retribution is quick, one of the squatters shoots and kills one of your kids. Not even the one that threw the stone.

That night a mob of the squatters comes to your house not to pay their condolences or apoligize for killing one of your children but to tell you that you must disoccupy your home. The squatters want to tear down your house so they can build another house for some friends and family that are coming from America and Russia to live there, on your land that has been in your family for 25 generations.

The next day the bulldozers are there and you barely get out with the clothes on your back. You resistance only earns a beating and one of your elderly parents resistance gets him beaten with a club causing his death. One of your infant children sleeps on a bed as the bulldozer pushes a wall on top of him crushing the life out of him.

In the meantime while all this is happening the local sheriff is intimidated by the squatters cause he is alone and fears for his safety and that of his family. The squatters don’t respect any local authorities and instead take over the local governing council. Desperate and angry at the gross injustice you go on a shooting spree hurling bullets and grenades at the squatters that are occupying the land that was once yours. You kill several of them.

A posse comes looking for you and they massacre you and your family as you sleep in a shack that you now call home. Other family members take action against the squatters and a circle of violence ensues with no end in sight. The hate only grows. What was gesture of hospitality on your part has turned into a nightmare.

“What happened with the Gaza flotilla was not an accident.  You have to
remember that the Israeli cabinet met for fully a week.  All the cabinet ministers
discussed and deliberated how they would handle the flotilla.  There were
numerous reports in the Israeli press, numerous suggestions, numerous
recommendations about what to do.  At the end of the day, they decided on a
nighttime armed commando raid on a humanitarian convoy.

“Israel is now a lunatic state.  It’s a lunatic state with between two and three

Hezbollah in Lebanon.  Hezbollah in Lebanon has already stated on several
occasions: if Israel attacks it will retaliate in kind.  Things are getting out of

lunatic state like Israel be trusted with two to three hundred nuclear devices

US foreign policy is now in damage control because of their great friends the Fanatical Zealots of Israel .The Israeli likudniks are led by a yahoo and an imbecile and the ever annoying Aipac attack ,that actually
think they run the US Government ,the American people are going to have to decide what country they live in ,is it the United States of America ,or is the United States of Israel .Jewish influence in the affairs of
dominant countries is nothing new and the Stalinist Soviet Union is a good example of Jewish negative influence in the field of diplomacy and politics, when the US become the global hegemon it didn’t take long for the Israeli’s to change hosts ,somewhat like a lamprey in the natural world. This latest event is going to raise the question of International law and the validity of it ;Turkeys anger at the blatant disregard by the IDF
with regard to international waters may lead Ankara to refuse passage of Israeli merchant vessels -whether registered in Israel of elsewhere -from having access to the Black Sea and some of the aspiring buddies
in the Caucasus region.Brussels is going to be a very busy place and Fogh is going to have his hands full with the distancing of a Nato member in a strategic location, hell even the oil Barons are going to be
scratching their heads .Is the G word going to be resuscitated once again and is Turkey going to sway towards closer cooperation with Iran ? while the smiling kat along with her likudniks are pressing for more sanctions against the Persians. These are dangerous times folks and the Israeli predictability with regards to conflict during tense situations should be taken seriously .The question of Israel’s security is a legitimate
one ,but instead of attempting peaceful overtures the Likudniks prefer to increase tensions thereby rendering their security concerns even more acute .

Inherit the Wind (ITW) writes:

“It’s almost as if Netanyahu and his imbeciles are 5th columnists doing
EVERYTHING possible to bring down Israel.”

ITW perfectly illustrates why Israel’s right-wing policies never meet any
effective resistance from mainstream liberal American Jews who supposedly
oppose these policies.

Because you see, even when “mainstream” liberals like ITW deplore Israel’s
actions, the disapproval is still always framed in terms of what’s good for Israel.
We can’t simply say that such and such a policy is evil and barbaric because of
the suffering caused to the direct and obvious victims. No: even when we
criticize Israel, we must not show a properly primary concern for Israel’s actual
victims: we must say that an action or policy is wrong because it’s bad for
Israel. All good American liberals frame any such discussions in this way.

And that’s the end of the conversation, especially any conversation in public,
where non-Jews can hear it - because dwelling on the matter any further only
increases the harm to Israel.

And thus the policies supposedly deplored by good liberal Jews like ITW
continue to worsen indefinitely, as the major Jewish organizations that engineer
Israel’s political clout in Congress continue to draw reliable donations from
their large and wealthy membership rosters, comprised largely of people who
consider themselves liberal, dovish, and “progressive”.

We need to reflect on the fact that human beings are not wrong because they
happen to be born of a certain nationality or race.  It is the destructive things they
do that need to be criticized. If we are interested in peace and justice, we must be
careful that we don’t get confused about this. When we do, we become racist and
destructive ourselves.

Israel and the supporters of its policies have been on the wrong path. They have
managed to create a ghetto state for themselves and that is very tragic and
destructive. Unless Israel acknowledges that Palestinians have been badly

How does Israel manage so completely to dominate major US media coverage?

In the TV coverage on MSNBC this morning, we are told that the Israeli
government claims that its soldiers only used force after they came under
attack from the activists and had no choice. No mention is made of what the
activists have to say against this charge. When it comes to any specifics of
what happened, we are only told what the Israeli government says happened.
The other side is reported as ranting in protest, without any substance.

So it sounds like the Israelis are being precise and reasonable, laying out clearly
exactly what happened and why they did what they did, while Israel’s enemies
are just screaming and yelling about it, without offering any checkable
counterarguments or evidence.

Oh, but we mustn’t point out the obvious - that the Israelis and their powerful
“American” ethnic partisans overwhelmingly own and control our major media
outlets, as they disproportionately occupy positions of power, influence, and
wealth in every area of our society. That would be a “conspiracy theory”,
wouldn’t it.

Hello Everyone,

I haven’t posted in a while and i felt like this provides the perfect talking points.  Any reason anyone may have for supporting Israel is wrong.  As another posted brought to our attention, the land is stolen.  And this is a point that everyone must agree with, and to support Israel is to say (It doesn’t matter that this land was stolen from the Palestinian people, it was, and as sub human beings they must leave or be exterminated)they have no right to live on the land their families have lived on for over a thousand years.  Zionists strike me as a silliest type of hypocrites, i say this because i truly believe if the aggressions of the Nazis had been directed at a group that wasn’t Jewish, the Israelis would have supported the aggression, and i would like anyone to try and prove me wrong,  Israel was a proud supporter of apartheid, there reasoning for their prejudice is strikingly similar to the reasoning for Nazi prejudice. But it is O.K. because the nation of Israel has built itself up under the guise of the victim, and the process has created more victims.  The story repeats itself throughout history.  The oppressed Christians from Europe win their freedom in the revolutionary war and go on to create the largest genocide of all time(the native Americans) and the greatest inequality the world has ever known( American slavery) oppression is like a contagious disease that is spread primarily from the oppressor to the oppressed and the cycle then continues.

Just look at the replies I get when I ask questions: No answers, just “you’re a Zionist-shill, Rush-loving, teabagging moron.” That’s what passes for debate at TD.

Israel is a nation state, not a religion or ethnicity.  It happens to be run by Jews but is not representative of them.

Israel got the idea that these Humanitarian Ships had more than humanitarian plans in mind.  The flotilla should have had a UN Escort.  From now on any humanitarian aid to GAZA must be coordinated with the UN for UN police escort.

Somebody has asked “why do we need Israel?”
A complex question.  My take on it is that Israel was deliberately set up after World War II as a “home” for the Jewish people because of centuries of Euro-American persecution of Jews,  largely inspired by the Catholic and Protestant churches. The result of that persecution was an international guilty conscience and Israel was to be a gesture of apology and a promise to stop persecution.  The holocaust what the apex of, but far from the only, injustice against the Jews.
The idea of setting up a State based on common religion was not thought out ahead of time.  Setting it down right in the middle of Arab territory, if thought about at all, was regarded as a way of separating, preventing the unity of Arab nations, dividing and conquering, or at least making unity harder.
The extreme “patriotism” among Jews for Israel is due to the fact that the nation’s foundation is religion. The extreme suffering of the holocaust makes that loyalty even more insistent. The same problem of “religious states” applies to the Arab sountries, except that there Islam is divided against itself by sects.
Much of the territory allotted to Israel in the beginning was Palestinian-owned.  The Palestians were unable to resist international pressures, and many of the post-war promises to the Arabs were broken by Britain, France and the US.
There have been long periods when Jews and Palestinians lived together in peace, which tends to show that it could happen again—but not under today’s unbalanced arrangements. Both countries are victims of powerful counterforces, in addition to engendering their own problems deliberately or accidentally.  Complications are too numerous to mention and differing attitudes are too intransigent to scorn.
The US sees Israel as a modern democratic ally in the Middle East, plus the fact that ties between Israel and millions of American and European Jews are
vibrant and strong.
I didn’t review history before writing this, due to lack of time, and I may regret it—but others can be depended upon to set me straight. In case of confusion, do the research yourselves.

Raid on the Gaza Flotilla

Israel’s Attack on Us All

By JONATHAN COOK

Nazareth.

It is quite astounding that Israel has been able to create over the past 12 hours a news blackout, just as it did with its attack on Gaza 18 months ago, into which our main media organisations have willingly allowed Israeli spokespeople to step in unchallenged.

How many civilians were killed in Israel’s dawn attack on the Gaza-bound flotilla of aid? We still don’t know. How many wounded? Your guess is as good as mine. Were the aid activists armed with guns? Yes, says Israel. Were they in cahoots with al-Qaeda and Hamas? Certainly, says Israel. Did the soldiers act reasonably? Of course, they faced a lynch, says Israel.

If we needed any evidence of the degree to which Western TV journalists are simply stenographers to power, the BBC, CNN and others are amply proving it. Mark Regev, Israel’s propagandist-in-chief, has the airwaves largely to himself.

The passengers on the ships, meanwhile, have been kidnapped by Israel and are unable to provide an alternative version of events. We can guess they will remain in enforced silence until Israel is sure it has set the news agenda.

So before we get swamped by Israeli hasbara let’s reiterate a few simple facts:

  * Israeli soldiers invaded these ships in international waters, breaking international law, and, in killing civilians, committed a war crime. The counter-claim by Israeli commanders that their soldiers responded to an imminent “lynch” by civilians should be dismissed with the loud contempt it deserves.

  * The Israeli government approved the boarding of these aid ships by an elite unit of commandoes. They were armed with automatic weapons to pacify the civilians onboard, but not with crowd dispersal equipment in case of resistance. Whatever the circumstances of the confrontation, Israel must be held responsible for sending in soldiers and recklessly endangering the lives of all the civilians onboard, including a baby and a Holocaust survivor.

  * Israel has no right to control Gaza’s sea as its own territorial waters and to stop aid convoys arriving that way. In doing so, it proves that it is still in belligerent occupation of the enclave and its 1.5 million inhabitants. And if it is occupying Gaza, then under international law Israel is responsible for the welfare of the Strip’s inhabitants. Given that the blockade has put Palestinians there on a starvation diet for the past four years, Israel should long ago have been in the dock for committing a crime against humanity.

Today Israel chose to direct its deadly assault not only at Palestinians under occupation but at the international community itself.

Will our leaders finally be moved to act?”

”Given your antipathy toward the US military, I would have thought you would have applauded Israel’s (unintentional) action against the Liberty.
And you reinforce the need for my question when you pick on Israel for the USS Liberty debacle and utter not a word of condemnation for 9/11.”

Conservatives are so predictable.

One of the first things a conservative will always do is to pull a ridiculous, unverifiable ad hominem from his stupid arse and then tuck his tail between his legs and run off like a coward. As a former Marine who was in uniform at the time of the attack on a U.S. vessel by the Israeli Air Force I challenge you to present quotes, by me, that show an antipathy on my part toward the U.S. military. If you are unable then please have the courtesy and honor to apologize.

Another thing you can always predict about conservatives is their ignoring of difficult questions. You’ve demonstrated that ability on quite a few topics where you ask questions as if no one can answer and after evidence is presented to show that you are clueless you run off to another topic.

This article is not about 9/11 so why would I have mentioned it? The article is about criminal actions by the rogue state of Israel against a dispossessed and oppressed people and one of our NATO allies. Israeli actions inevitably come back to bite the U.S. in the arse. But if you scroll down a bit you will see that I mentioned—albeit indirectly—9/11 type attacks in my comments to Arabian Sinbad (see By nemesis2010, May 31 at 3:55 pm); so much for your seriously lacking reading comprehension and selectivity.

Puerile is too weak a word to describe that asinine attempt to justify Israeli criminal behavior by the criminal behavior of others, be they Pakistani on Pakistani or whatever. Two wrongs don’t make a right. I have made my views on this perfectly clear on more than one occasion. I’d like to see believers of all three of those psychopathic religions be given the opportunity to kill each other to the very last one. Humanity would be much better off without them and conservatives. Their religious beliefs—especially the Christians and the Islamists—oblige that they take over the world and make everyone else as miserable as they are for the sake of their imaginary sky being. Misery loves company and there are no more miserable sons-a-bitches on the planet than the religious —the one exception being conservatives who always tend to be walking around as though they were clinically constipated and in dire need of a coffee enema.

What would you be saying right now had Iran or North Korea pulled a stunt like this? We both know that you’d be here acting all Bushy-Dicky and demanding that they be sanctioned and perhaps even nuked for the good of mankind. Is that not right?

In typical conservative fashion you didn’t answer the question about how you would feel if the U.N. gave the territory of your state to the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Why not; duplicity perhaps?

You also ignored what benefit is there in having Israel as an ally? Why? It’s a legitimate question rfidler especially since they’ve been caught spying on us and intervene, through organizations like AIPAC, in our internal politics. Why do we need Israel?

Do you recall the “Exodus 1947”?

Watch the world press on this one. How it is reported is crucial.  Israel won’t look good, using armed soldiers and shooting unarmed civilians on a mercy mission, in spite of the sticks, clubs, knives - if there actually were such.  (A strict non-violent mission would have been trained not even to use such mild force, for obvious reasons—arousing anger, fear, providing and “excuse” etc.)

Careful investigation should be used to clarify every detail of this mission for future record.

Question:  What if this single mercy flotilla was immediately followed by three, ten, fifteen more similar ones, one after another, conducted in much the same way?  Could be, that would be the only way—or the best way—to bring Israel to its senses without more bloodshed.( They might get away killing civilians on a mercy mission once, but more than once?  Very doubtful.)

In international waters? They killed nine civilians and all the dead are protesters, not a single IDF member? They were attacked by stick-yielding hoodlums against unarmed IDF commandos? Unarmed commandos, isn’t that an oxymoron? One never knows, Israel and the myth of the Virgin Mary have always operated under the rubric of exceptionalim. The commandos were armed with paint rifles, otherwise unarmed. Says the unimpeachable IDF. Yet, someone stole their guns and shot three of their members. I thought they were only paint rifles? Why land with rifles at all, toy or no toy? If I show up in a bank wishing to be non-provocative,will I show-up with a toy rifle? This war crime is beyond outrageous, it transcends all sense of civility. Israel, has for too long been allowed to violate international law. It violates sovereign states to kidnap, assassinate, attack anyone they despise. Even England is not immune. In International waters, the passengers were in their rights to defend themselves. Arrogance is a narcotic. Israel is addicted to it. Because they have the USA in their pocket, they think they can get away with anything. Israel is like a street punk who has the backing of the Mob.
Finally, this is the time for Arabs to unite against Israel (fat, fat chance)because it will be decades before we see a more criminal, idiotic, despised, arrogant, insensitive, racist, incompetent administration in Israel.

The Israeli state is a fascist state and this is by no means the first time they’ve murdered unarmed civilians. These killings were done as a warning to others not to attempt to bring food or medicine or anything else such as building materials to the people of Gaza who are locked in an Israeli concentration camp living in the ruins of their houses and hospitals reduced to rubble by the Israeli invasion of 2008 during which babies were burned with phosphorous bombs and families were lined up in imitation of the holocaust and gunned down in cold blood. I think these murders will only encourage others to create bigger flotillas. Israel cannot go on using murder as a foreign policy and only a fool would think that America will find it credible politically to go on supporting a country that carries out war crimes against women and children, indefinitely. Israel has become its own worst nightmare: namely a racist, fascist state just like Nazi Germany.

But I am not as outraged at those murderers as I am at their enablers, the fucken US political-military establishment, who could not summon one ounce of moral courage to say more than ‘we regret the violence!’”

Yeah, I agree! They should try really heroic acts like bombing pizza parlors filled with unsuspecting, innocent men, women and children out for an evening or blowing up a buss filled with tired, middle and working class stiffs. If they really wanted to be brave they could blow up an airplane filled with innocent people many who may even be sympathetic to the Muslim cause. That’s bravery!

If they really want to add a badge of courage they could try grabbing some poor, defenseless teenage girl and burying her up to her chest and stoning her or at least a good old public caning so that all you degenerates can get off in your pants.

You’re the pot calling the kettle black and I wish all you religious cocksuckers would kill yourselves and take those psychopathic imaginary gods of yours with you.

”Wars against the infidel will continue until Muhammad is recognized as the final prophet and Allah is declared the only God. The peace flotilla is weighed down with more copies of the Koran than medical supplies. Its occupants are potential suicide bombers that think killing for the love of Allah makes peace. Ten torpedo`s into the flotilla will do more for peace than a thousand of their suicide bombers.”

While I understand what you’re trying to say badly this act was uncalled for. They boarded a ship under the flag of a NATO ally in international waters and proceeded to murder 10-16 civilians defending the ship against the marauders. That’s state sponsored murder. And I’ve read that the people on that ship are now incarcerated. If that was an act of piracy their incarceration is kidnapping.

Have you any evidence to back your claim that there were more Korans than medical supplies? Have you any evidence that any of the passengers were of a mind to become suicide bombers? Have you any evidence that there was anything but an attempt to alleviate the suffering of people that Israel is mostly responsible for?

This is what happens when we allow an unelected political entity like the U.N. to grant the right of a religious group to dispossess millions from their homeland. This isn’t going to be resolved peacefully. There’s a bloodbath coming soon and I wouldn’t like to be in the Israelis’ shoes when it does. That last little ass-kicking they received should have them—and it obviously does—shaking in their boots. A nuclear resolution to their problem only means their own ultimate destruction.

Much of the impetus for Zionism rode in on the back of delirious Christian sympathies both in England and America, who in the throes of blind passion, sought to compel the fulfillment of their prophecy; thought it necessary to blast a chunk of earth out of Palestine in order for this to occur, this was and is a very fundamental undercurrent which subconsciously fanned the flames for the creation of an Israeli state and thus, influenced Zionist aspirations. This cannot be ignored!

Where is IsRaEl in all of this? Through a comfortably numb symbiosis, Israel continues as a surrogate in the clutches of its Neo-Roman host, whose ego, in 1948, had been stroked with the offer of a seat at the table of a neo-Roman empire, which continues today in the same imperialist aspirations of Constantine – Sol Invictus.

The non-Zionist Israelis need to shed these Roman shackles; get a voice; reconcile with its Egyptian heritage by confronting the bitter wound left in the wake of Akhenaton, the rabid iconoclast who slew his son, the boy king, Tutankhaton/Tutankhamen; whose recklessness was routed out from Egypt and expunged from the records.

Shouldn’t the AIPAC troll be here labeling everyone that has commented anything but praise for those brave masked Israeli thugs Nazis, Terrorist lovers, etc.?

Keep burning up that political capital Israel!

Israel should be economically and politically sanctioned. No more weapons, trade, or money until they declare their borders and sign the nuclear nonproliferation treaty.

Wasn’t that a Turkish ship? Turkey is a member of NATO! Isn’t an attack against a NATO member an attack against all NATO members? Let’s hope NATO attacks Israel and occupies that rogue state and disarms it nuclear capabilities.

<<RE: THE TELEGRAPH—The Israeli army said its troops were assaulted with axes and knives.>>
***

Maybe someone can help me here; armed Israeli assault forces, repelling down from helicopter gunships, are complaining that their SWAT troops were being attacked…hmmmm.

Shouldn’t that read: the rape victim, cowering in fear, waving white flag; with axes, knives and sticks defended itself against the pervert’s onslaught?

For this manifestation we have the Crusading NeoCons and their Christian-Zionists, such as John Hagee and Pat Robertson to thank for their continued shoveling of coal onto the flames of their deep-seated psychopathic entrainment.

Israel claims that people on the flotilla started shooting at IDF, a claim useually used by Israel to justify its policy; kill first talk later. This time it has been cought red handed for many to know that Israel is living on a borrowed time.My guess is that Israel is becoming a liability that no one wants to associate with,an augury of gradually descending to a vanishing point.

If its PTS syndrome with the Israelis, we aren’t being very smart to provide them with weapons to use against neighbors who are largely victims of historical crimes perpetrated years ago by Brits, French and US.  Besides, by this time surely Palestinians are fully entitled to claim PTS syndrome themselves as their excuse for rocket-lobbing and threats.

At the rate we are going, the entire world will soon be victims of PTS syndrome and nobody will be responsible for anything.

Unable to respond—we’re not quite there yet, but give us time.  Or will there be a great uprising against violence, a great awakening to its futility, a great realization that what was once so funkily called “the brotherhood of man” is an actual fact? (How about some “sisterhood of woman” right about now?  Couldnl’t do any harm.

What is it with the state of Israel. As not a few have suggested, the Holocaust for many Jews is their subliminal reference point, the veiled vision that defines their political and social angles of vision.

In vendetta mode, (some) Jews/Israelis wake up each day fearing for their lives at the hands of an ‘enemy’ - unknown, faceless but always there. It’s become an illness, maybe a type of PTS syndrome and until it dies out as it will eventually, Israel will act irrationally - that is against her own self-interest.

It takes the pain of a great evil like the Holocaust a long time to subside.

Take comfort Goy Toy.  When one has to resort to name calling etc. (Neil C.) to validate his argument, you’ve won the argument.

In Palestine some Jews want to kill all Muslims, and some Muslims want to kill all Jews, and they are all neighbors. Nothing can stop the killing.

I just got finished e-mailing http://www.Congress.org and put my representatives, Steny Hoyer, Barbara Mikulski and Ben Cardin on notice, all ardent zionists.

Lets hope the next boat the Israelis fire on is full of U.S. congressmen.
