Palestinians walk at the Gaza City port on Monday. The Israeli navy killed four Palestinian militants in diving suits off the coast of Gaza before dawn that day, the Israeli military and Palestinian officials reported.

It’s been a week since the now-infamous flotilla raid, and on Monday, Israeli-Palestinian tensions flared again after the Israeli military killed four men who sources from both sides are claiming were Palestinian militants wearing diving gear and readying an attack from the waters off the Gaza coast.  —KA

ABC News:

The Israeli military claims the men were preparing an attack on Israeli targets from the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian sources in Gaza claimed the men were members of the Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade, a radical offshoot of the mainstream Fatah organization which is affiliated with Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the moderate regime that governs the West Bank.

The divers were training about 150 yards off shore when they were ... attacked by a Israeli patrol.

And things could get real interesting in about a few weeks if the Iranian threat to send their own flotilla to break the Gaza blockade materializes especially if the ships carry the Iranian flag.  First, we’ll have to see whether the Egyptians let them pass through the canal or force them around the horn which can be dangerous and then they’ll need plenty of sunblock!!!
