Iranian Missiles No Match for U.S. Shield, Pentagon Says

Posted on Apr 21, 2010
U.S. Air Force / Joe Davila

A ground-based interceptor lifts off from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.

If Iran ever has the capability to lob a nuclear missile at the U.S., the Pentagon is “very confident” the missile interceptors already in place would foil such an attack. Said interceptors don’t always work, but the military is still upbeat about our chances.

AP via Google:

Eight of 14 tests of the interceptors have been successful, while the remaining tests suffered software glitches and other technical problems. But U.S. officials say the system should still work in the event of an attack.

“We are confident that the system we have in place right now, the (ground-based interceptors) that are based in Alaska and California, are sufficient to protect us from such a threat coming in from Iran and North Korea,” Pentagon press secretary Geoff Morrell said.

Iran should be commended for the amazing mild mannered composure it has maintained throughout the entire aggressive posturing against it. It would seem the mad cowboys; circling their prey, are attempting to provoke a psychotic break within the frightened rabbit it has backed into a corner, silently hoping that it will twitch, forcing a crossing of the Rubicon; seeking justification for great machinery of death now railed against, can be unleashed.

Is there any question as to who is really on the wrong side of history here?

Was watching a documentary about electro magnetic pulse or EMP, it claimed that a nuke set off high enough above Kansas could fry everything carrying a charge and send the US back to the stone age. I’m sure our adversaries know this. Doubt the shield could stop that kind of attack. More reason to reduce our military footprint overseas.

WOW, the Pentagon declares that it can destroy the non-existent and non-existent Iranian nuclear missles and then touts the success ratio of 57% test success which were engineered for 100% success. The Pentagon missles can be fooled with tin foil, the tin foil hats worn at the Pentagon. What is about the Pentagons declaration that doesn’t make sense to me? Oh, the words. Well, I don’t know about the rest of you readers but I feel secure now about being reassured that the Pentagon is protecting the USA AGAINST THE NON EXISTENT. Good thing, the Pentagon sure can’t protect the USA against the EXISTING THREATS and I cite 9/11 as the example and evidence.

The Pentagon is “very confident” about their 25 interceptors with a 57% success rate. This means only 14 interceptors work.
What if 15 working nuclear missiles were launched?
What if the first 25 launched were decoys and the 26th was the real thing?
Why does AP show a Washington DC map adjacent to its article?

I swear, that flotilla of iranian strategic bombers and nuclear
powered submarines just have to be getting into firing range of
the u.s.of asshole liars and are about to unleash their whole
nuclear arsenal to wipe america off the map.

You know this country is doomed when the military and msm
connive together to try and scare the shit out of those
hopelessly addicted dumbstream members of the flock of
sheeple. Hell, I bet that there just could not be much more shit
left in those poor dopes after all the alerts and all the scares
they have had to live through these years.

Are these mad invaders attempting to provoke someone over there into crossing the Rubicon?

Somehow I think the Pentagon is missing the point of Iran’s craving of nuclear weapons. They don’t want to destroy the US itself, just it’s military bases in every other country in the world, all 180 “bases” around the world (outside of the US).
More likely the missiles would be targeted at US bases in Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Germany, England, France (whoops, not France for a long time now, excuse me), Spain, Italy, Albania, Malta, Cyprus, Yalta, Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia, Greece, Macedonia, Moldavia, Russia, Antarctica, Ukraine, Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, UAE, Pakistan, Diego Garcia…..... (how many is that?)

Oh then there’s Israel, which they mention frequently.

Is someone from the Pentagon reading this? It might be useful information for them (at the Pentagon).
