Honduran Judges Fight BackPosted on May 22, 2010
Remember that coup in Honduras last year? Well, a group of judges who were fired after making legal decisions against the widely-accepted-as-illegal coup have launched a hunger strike against their dismissal. The judges say their dismissal was a political maneuver, claiming the high court in Honduras is defending the interests of the coup government and not justice or national interest. —JCL

Obama and Clinton like to bash Cuba and Venezuela, but here is an example of the type of regime they consider “democratic.” Of course nobody calls them out on this because here in the US we’re obsessed with protests in Iran but don’t give a s—t about what happens right next door across our border.

US behind the scenes participation in the Honduran coup, and Clinton’s trying to legitimize the Right Wing aftermath in the old mold, was—unintentionally—a free gift to the Cubans, the Nicaraguans, and the Venezuelans.
