Human Rights Watch: Prosecute the Bush War CriminalsPosted on Jul 12, 2011
A U.S.-based human rights group published a report Tuesday calling on foreign governments to prosecute George W. Bush and some of his chief officials in light of a growing body of evidence of war crimes, failing the Obama administration’s willingness to do so. Those officials include former Vice President Dick Cheney, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, former CIA Director George Tenet and former National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice. Human Rights Watch, which published the report, said members of the Bush administration are open to prosecution under the 1996 War Crimes Act and for criminal conspiracy under federal law. “Under international law, any country has jurisdiction over torture and war crimes,” said the document’s author. —ARK

To prosecute Bush & Co. would mean Obama & Co. would suffer the same fate. Not going to happen. Laws are for the little people.

Shakespeare’s “Macbeth”, Act 5, Scene 1:
Doctor
Report thisFoul whisperings are abroad. Unnatural deeds
Do breed unnatural troubles; infected minds
To their deaf pillows will discharge their
secrets,
More needs she the divine than the physician.
God, God forgive us all! Look after her;
Remove from her the means of all annoyance,
And still keep eyes upon her. So, good night:
My mind she has mated, and amazed my sight.
I think, but dare not speak.

Does that mean that they’ll be arresting Obama and Hillary soon?
Isn’t ‘Hope and Change’ Democrat code for ‘Continue Neo-Con imperial policy untouched and take all the credit’?

Even though those folks will never be jailed and held
Report thisaccountable, prosecute them so that they may never
leave America for fear of being arrested and brought to
trial. It’s only fair.

Umm, Guantanamo is still open. The war in Aphghanistan
is still on…maybe it’s not such a good idea to draw
attention to that by persecuting the previous
administration, especially when many of the current
policies are continuations of the former ones?
Besides, the people who should be prosecuted are those
Report thiswho commited the crimes, shouldn’t they? George Bush did not commit the abuses of Abu Ghraib, for instance.
