Her Majesty’s Royal Facebook PagePosted on Nov 8, 2010
If you’re not on Facebook, you’re officially more out of touch than the queen of England. Her Majesty, who already has a presence on YouTube, Twitter and Flickr, is starting up a monarchy funpage so you can more easily keep track of her business. Just remember, one does not poke the queen. —PZS

In addition to more robust spam filtering and moderation, new features include the ability to rate other comments, sort how they are displayed and respond directly via e-mail or in a thread. Unfortunately, commenters will lose their existing Truthdig identities. It's a pain, we know, but on the plus side you will now be able to log in with a plethora of options, including Google, Twitter, Facebook and Disqus accounts. Before launching this system we spent months in discussion with our top commenters. We listened to the feedback and we hope you like what we've come up with. “I am glad you happen to be on the Spot to say what ought to be said respecting the pretended Loyalists. Setting them in their true Light must be of great Service. The World had never seen a more universally loyal People than the Americans who were forc’d by the mad Measures of the Ministry to take up Arms in Defence of their Rights. They did it with Reluctance. They were truly Loyalists. Very few if any of these Pretenders had any such Principle, or any Principle but that of taking care of themselves by securing Safety with a Chance of Emolument and Plunder. They fancied the King’s Side would prove the strongest. Could they have foreseen our Success, the would never have oppos’d us, nor would England have been dunn’d with their Claims of Recompense for their Loyalty!”—Benjamin Franklin
