Thomas and Obama
White House / Pete Souza

White House press mainstay Helen Thomas is seen here with President Barack Obama last year on their shared birthday, Aug. 4.

White House press corps veteran Helen Thomas, 89, has faced off with nine different presidents—starting with Eisenhower—and their supporting players over the course of her career, but ultimately her own words got her in trouble and marred her hard-won reputation.

Thomas was on the receiving end of an interview with RabbiLive.com on May 27, as the Jewish Heritage Celebration went on at the White House, when she made the comments about Israeli Jews that caused an uproar last week and ultimately led to her retirement announcement on Monday. Thomas said Jews in Israel should “get the hell out of Palestine” and “go back home to Poland, Germany, America and everywhere else.”—KA

The Hill:

The longtime White House reporter is stepping down after her controversial comments on Israel. Helen Thomas announced Monday that “she is retiring, effective immediately,” according to a statement from Hearst newspapers.

Her decision comes after her controversial remarks about Israel hit the blogosphere. She later apologized for her comments.

White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) President Ed Chen criticized her remarks in a statement Monday.

“Helen Thomas’ comments were indefensible and the White House Correspondents Association board firmly dissociates itself from them.

Are you really that stupid or just deliberately obtuse? There is no current
defense against ballistic missiles, mutual assured destruction is the reason
that intelligent people do not support a nuclear exchange. My statement was a
fact, not a suggested plan of action. I said ‘your country’ because ‘my country’
would not allow some pre cambrian slime mold like you the right to round up
people that they disagree with. Will you deport them. kill them or just send
them to the showers? Perhaps in a few million years your progeny will begin to
walk upright, use tools and grasp simple concepts, they will be light years

disagrees with you flies in the face of the first amendment and brands you as a
traitor. Your Guy Fawkes avatar shows everyone that you support a catholic

stcfarms, you claim some Indian heritage but talk like an Israeli settler.

Your inference to Israels nuking of America and Turkey in deference to Israel set off warning bells and places you in the company of Pollard, Kadish, Nozette and the host of Israeli “art students”  apprehended and sent packing by big Israeli ass kiss Chertoff immediately after 9/11.

Israels blood soaked hands are all over 9/11 with Cheneys gang and the Jewish American zionists involvement as the prime movers.

As Israel fores itself center stage in World Real Politik, i want to mention that Amy Goodman’s book are worth reading to find out the denouement of a lot of the issues that this country faces.

One in particaular caught my eye in today’s Boston Herald.  I t concerned the video of American troops abouard a helicopter in Bagdhad murdering civilians below.  The audio reveals a trigger-happy gunner.

Today’s Herald, on page 10, tells of a 23 year-old U.S. soldier who has been identified as the leaker.

If they only paid as much attention to their military training and behavior as they do to any revelation that might embarrass them, we might get on the road back to home.

Amy had on a philosopher Johann Galtung who predicted the fall of the U.S. empire by 2020.  He upped it to 2020 from 2035 as a result of the Bush election and his 8 years.  Obama seems to be the one to whom the baton of suicidal empire building has been passed.

I don’t know if I’ll live so long, but all I can say are the words of an old Italian lady I once ran an errand for many many years ago. She bid me adieu from the second floor porch with, “AMF. Adios mother-fucker.”

An 89 year old respected woman journalist speaks the truth, as she sees it, out of frustration against zionist murderers.

I am certain that the conversation went something like this. You will apologize or we will freeze all of your assets. If that was ineffectual, the bullying murders in this country and israel threaten her life or the life of her family.

These are some of the tools unjust authority use to suppress one speaking the truth or exercising their right to free speech. There isn’t any good reason for Helen Thomas to apologize unless she endured some type of financial or physical threat.

I wish Helen would have told the white whore press secretary, “Your reprehensible for working with an administration that is cowardly in not pursuing war crimes inquiries concerning the murderous, lying, thieving bush years.” “Tell that to yes we con obamass, your continued involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan based on lies constitutes murder in the mind of any decent law abiding citizen of the world.” “I’m reprehensible? No, israel with its live my way die mentality that kills anyone who dares to speak out about their murderous ways.”

Helen may have said something similar to the above, but we will never know.

“The most dangerous creation of any society is the man who has nothing to lose.” James Baldwin.

Unjust authority in this country and across the globe has plotted for many years to control the masses with subtle and not so subtle methods of control. Protests will result in an overwhelming show and use of force designed to scare the shit out of any rational human being.

Well, I personally have given up. The only respect these defenders of wall street theft and greed, tea party psychos, and war without justification deserve is the right to live. As long as my right to live and say anything I want, just like unjust authority, isn’t impeded in any way.

To hell with netanyapuke, the nazi bush, and obamass. This isn’t prima facie evidence of organizing a peoples revolt. This is my right live free from the aforementioned M*****F*****S in any way I chose. So, Kill me if you kiss-asses for the empire can’t take the truth being spoken to you.

I question this little bit of reasoning.  I have the separated the phrase on which this double talk turns by dashes and quotes.

Collective guilt?  It’s overworked.

“By C.Curtis.Dillon, June 8 at 8:55 am #

Just thought I would inject something into this warped conversation.  Take the Israel situation including the war to create Israel, the world’s response and the ensuing years and change the local ... to say Virginia.  An alien force has invaded Va, could be native Americans or another persecuted minority (but not the Jews).  It takes part of the state and then forces all remaining residents into crowded, filthy refugee camps which are blockaded and the residents are left to slowly starve.  Make the situation as close to the real events as you want.  Now ... I ask the question: Does this new country have the right to exist?  If yes, why?

The reason for this exercise is to remove the “Jewish” question from the equation.  We get all bollixed up whenever Israel is discussed because of this—“collective guilt we all carry for their history.”  But, we need to divorce ourselves from this limitation and look at the question without passion.  To do otherwise is to be prejudiced, one way or the other.”

————————————————

Enough with the collective guilt sophistry.  Let’s move on.

Again from C. Curtis Dillon,

“To do otherwise is to be prejudiced, one way or the other.”

This last sentence is an example the high school level cleansing of the knowledge-thought process that would usually accompany growth and wisdom.

Israel is a Jewish State.  They do not welcome non-Jewish outsiders, particularly Palestinians.

If you are a Goy in support of Israel and if you have any sense of Social Justice whatsoever, visit Israel.  By all mean go there and see for yourself.

If you have clout as for example the Premier of Russia, then they’ll fall all over each other to show respect.  But if you are an American dupe, you’re treated as if you are a fool and there is no need to hide their disrespect from you.  I know.

I worked with an Ukrainian Jew who was originally sent to Israel from Kiev in the 90s.  In Austria, the train stopped and an Austrian military office boarded the train with a few very big and very scary Austrian soldiers.  He announced that the cars from the this one on are being diverted to the US.

Ed the Ukrainian breathed a sigh of relief.  He didn’t want to go to Israel.  I think for obvious reasons for any peace loving human being.

You would ‘round up’ people for having an opinion? Since most Indians
support the idea that indigenous populations have a right to their land that
would suggest that you want to ‘round us up’ and presumably send us back to
where we came from. You are my zionist, you live here on stolen Indian land
that your ancestors murdered millions of people to get. Take a look around
Pine Ridge if you think there are no ‘camps’ in America. The Israeli claim to the
“holy land” is the same as our claim to the Americas, backed up by history. It is
sad that you somehow believe that you not only have a right to be here but
that you believe that what goes on in Israel is any of your business. If you had
even a miniscule amount of the morality that you claim you would turn over
your land to whatever tribe owns it and get on a ship back to your homeland.

Good post.

The only quibble I have is that the force which “invaded” Virginia was given the imprimatur of, and legitimized by, the UN.

And as for the refugees, I can’t imagine that the neighboring state of North Carolina, Maryland, West Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee (read Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia and Iraq) would ignore their cultural and religious brethern and allow them to rot in those camps. (Remember, the blockade is a relatively recent developement.)

In closing, stop looking at this as a Jewish question and start looking at it as a question of international law and morality.

As for Helen Thomas, I give her a qualified pass on her statements.  I’m sure she isn’t anti-Semitic.  She is, like many of us, frustrated by the current Israeli government’s behavior and by the tepid American response.  Her origin has little to do with how she acted.  And she has been a tough and persistent critic of power for a long time.  She deserves something for that.  This hyper sensitivity about criticism of Israel is stupid ... they make dumb mistakes just like the rest of us and should be called to task when they are wrong.  To do anything less is to give them a pass and to encourage even more stupid behavior in the future.

As everyone knows, whenever Israel is discussed amongst people it is inevitably going to be a thorny subject.

Myself? Well, I do not think it is right that the Palestinians had to forfeit their nation because Germany commited a genocide 70 to 80 years ago.  I am sorry… but it is just not right.  Ok?  My deepest sympathy for all concerned, but Israel’s actions and relations with the world is starting to become too much.  Israel, as a nation, is starting to become very annoying to me - not too mention expensive for the USA (on several levels - not merely financial) to maintain this alliance.  Obviously, the cost far outweighs the benefits - after say 50 years of time elapsing.

Unfortunately, there are those who believe the Israeli government can do whatever it wants to whoever it wants to, as they represent God’s favorite people.  Trust me, they play this card for all its worth!  Indeed, the government of Israel has become quite successful at this.  Thanks in large part to the USA, Israel is the most powerful military nation in Southwest Asia right now.  Even more unfortunate, what is today called Israel, located in a very significant area of the world, is controlled and governed by extremely negative and dare I say evil politicians.  I mean…damn!  There are some pretty cruel and…vicious folks running Israel.  Bush and Cheney?  Eat your heart out!  They only wished they could measure up to the ruthless and unconscionable standards of Benjamin Netanyahu and Tzipi Livny.

Most of all, I do not understand why roughly 25% of the human race today even buy into their version of the supernatural.  Because of the belief that the Hebrew God is the only true God and the Jews are the be all end all experts on theology - they are above reproach and are considered saints.  This belief, while surprisingly common - that the Jews are, conveniently, “(the Hebrew rendition of) God’s favorite chosen blessed holy good righteous people in the world” and that currently roughly 25% of the human race believes this to be the case in some form - to me is even more tragic than any action the government of Israel has pulled in the 62 years of its existence.  It is insane that this is happening in real life because in some ways this dynamic betwen Israel and its relations with the world is stranger than most fiction literature.  Moreover, it is clear that the ones who inherited Palestine - those whom its government obviously favors - demonstrate a sheer lack of gratitude for their inheritance.  The UN gave the Jews a nation to call their own, in what was then Palestine, for what the European Jews went through in WW2.  Their show of gratitude and thanks for such a gift is near non-existent.  In addition, the government of Israel disobeys the Ten Commandments - particularly the lying and killing parts.  Naturally, the Palestinians are going to be upset that they had to forfeit their nation to foreign control.  The least the government of Israel could do is show some compassion to the land’s former owners.  Instead, Israel bestowed upon the citizens of Gaza a fate worse than death.  I am sorry, but this decision made by the government of Israel in how it treats the citizens of Gaza is immoral. In fact, it pisses me off! West Bank folks? Well, they receive the bigger crumbs for brown-nosing.  Unfortunately, it is taboo in the USA to be sympathetic toward a people who were forced to forfeit control of their nation (in this case because of actions commited by Germany) and then subsequently be subjected to subhuman treatment and denied most basic necessities to sustain life by the new owners.

Call me anti-semitic if one wants to (although, I suggest to those who want to to look up who the Semites are and what it truly means to be anti-semitic before doing so); but, I truly wish for the UN to order the government of Israel to give its land back to the Palestinians as Israeli politicians have a peculiar way of showing gratitude and compassion.

I love Helen Thomas, but she is getting on in years and at almost 80 undoubtedly wasn’t thinking as clearly as she would have preferred;  because, even though there is a war and peace situation in Israel, Israel has been the homeland for the Jewish people since 1948; all Jewish people can’t be sent home, they are at home.

It is important for those who pray to pray for peace in Jerusalem. as Jerusalem is also Holy ground of the Palestinian’s homeland as well.

Did the IDF Execute Mavi Marmara Victims?

Shot in the Back

By DAVE LINDORFF

You want to know why we need independent journalism, and why those of you who are reading this article need to support the publication in which it is appearing and the article in which it originally appeared? Because if you rely for your news on the US corporate media, whether ad-supported or underwriter-supported, you won’t learn that Furkan Dogan, the 19-year-old American citizen slain by Israeli commandos in the raid on the Gaza-bound flotilla May 31, was shot in the back and in the back of the head, as well as multiple times in the face.

This is the conclusion of the autopsy conducted by the Turkish Council of Forensic Medicine, which also did autopsies on the eight other Turkish citizens killed in the Israeli raid on the Mavi Marmara ferry and five other smaller boats in the so-called Freedom Flotilla. Of the other eight dead, the medical examiners found that five had been shot in the back, or in the back of the head.

This critically important information has not appeared in US news reports. Some American news organizations have left out the autopsy information entirely from their reports as of Saturday. CNN, in its report on Friday, did note that five of the nine were shot in the head, and at close range, but the all-important fact that most of the victims were shot from behind was left out. ABC had the same information on Thursday, again without mentioning the shots from behind. In its article on Friday, the NY Times had yet to even name Dogan, the American victim, much less mention the bullets that hit him or how he was shot.

And yet, if you’re trying to establish what happened on that ship, the direction of the firing, not just the number of bullets, or the distance from which they were fired, is crucial.

I had some experience with this as a reporter in Los Angeles, back in the 1970s. There was a story that ran in all the local papers, including the LA Times, and my paper, the LA Daily News, about a 14-year-old kid killed by police while he was burglarizing an empty house in the San Fernando Valley. All the papers reported the police story that he had been shot and killed when police entered the house on a call of a burglary, and he “turned and appeared to be carrying a gun” (it turned out to be some camera equipment he was trying to cart off).

On a hunch, I decided to look more into the story, and as my beat was county government, I went to visit the coroner’s office. There I was shown, at my request, the drawings and report on the boy’s autopsy. What I discovered was that all the police bullets entered the boy’s back. He was shot while fleeing the police, not while turning to face them.

If you’re a real reporter, not a stenographer to power, you’ve got to ask. A reporter from the Guardian did ask. US reporters did not ask. Or if they did ask, they didn’t put the answer in their reports. Or if they did put the answer in their reports, editors removed the answer. And so far, no reporter has come forward to protest this news blackout, even anonymously.

In this current case of the Israeli commando assault on the Gaza aid flotilla, if victims were shot in the back or in the back of the head, then one is left really with only two possible conclusions: either the shooters, who were the Israeli commandos (according to Israel, no Israeli soldiers were themselves shot, plus all the recovered bullets were 9 mm, the type of shells in the Israeli weapons, making it clear who had the guns), fired at people who were fleeing from them, or alternatively they shot people from the front, and later executed them with shots to the back of the head, which is maybe even worse (certainly a war crime).

The Deadly Closing of the Israeli Mind

The decline in Israel’s reputation since the brutal attack on the Gaza flotilla is unlikely to influence the country’s leaders

By Ilan Pappé

“June 07, 2010 “The Independent” - - At the top of Israel’s political and military systems stand two men, Ehud Barak and Benjamin Netanyahu, who are behind the brutal attack on the Gaza flotilla that shocked the world but that seemed to be hailed as a pure act of self-defence by the Israeli public.

Although they come from the left (Defence minister Barak from the Labour Party) and the right (Prime Minister Netanyahu from Likkud) of Israeli politics, their thinking on Gaza in general and on the flotilla in particular is informed by the same history and identical worldview.

At one time, Ehud Barak was Benjamin Netanyahu’s commanding officer in the Israeli equivalent of the SAS. More precisely, they served in a similar unit to the one sent to assault the Turkish ship last week. Their perception of the reality in the Gaza Strip is shared by other leading members of the Israeli political and military elite, and is widely supported by the Jewish electorate at home.

And it is a simple take on reality. Hamas, although the only government in the Arab world elected democratically by the people, has to be eliminated as a political as well as a military force. This is not only because it continues the struggle against the 40-year Israeli occupation of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip by launching primitive missiles into Israel - more often than not in retaliation to an Israel killing of its activists in the West Bank. But it is mainly due to its political opposition for the kind of “peace” Israel wants to impose on the Palestinians.

The forced peace is not negotiable as far as the Israeli political elite is concerned, and it offers the Palestinians a limited control and sovereignty in the Gaza Strip and in parts of the West Bank. The Palestinians are asked to give up their struggle for self-determination and liberation in return for the establishment of three small Bantustans under tight Israeli control and supervision.

The official thinking in Israel, therefore, is that Hamas is a formidable obstacle for the imposition of such a peace. And thus the declared strategy is straightforward: starving and strangulating into submission the 1.5 million Palestinians living in the densest space in the world.

The blockade imposed in 2006 is supposed to lead the Gazans to replace the current Palestinian government with one which would accept Israel’s dictate - or at least would be part of the more dormant Palestinian Authority in the West Bank. In the meantime,Hamas captured an Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit, and so the blockade became tighter. It included a ban of the most elementary commodities without which human beings find it difficult to survive. For want of food and medicine, for want of cement and petrol, the people of Gaza live in conditions that international bodies and agencies described as catastrophic and criminal.

As in the case of the flotilla, there are alternative ways for releasing the captive soldier, such as swapping the thousands of political prisons Israel is holding with Shalit. Many of them are children, and quite a few are being held without trial. The Israelis have dragged their feet in negotiations over such a swap, which are not likely to bear fruit in the foreseeable future.”

An American ex-marine, Ken O’Keefe, was on that Turkish boat. He describes
the despicable cowardice and utter immorality of the Israel soldiers. “I and
hundreds of others know the truth that makes a mockery of the brave and
moral Israeli military,” he says:

I say it again now, on the morning of the attack I was directly involved in the
disarming of two Israeli Commandos.  This was a forcible, non-negotiable,
separation of weapons from commandos who had already murdered two
brothers that I had seen that day.  One brother with a bullet entering dead
center in his forehead, in what appeared to be an execution.

I knew the commandos were murdering when I removed a 9mm pistol from
one of them.  I had that gun in my hands and as an ex-US Marine with training
in the use of guns it was completely within my power to use that gun on the
commando who may have been the murderer of one of my brothers.  But that
is not what I, nor any other defender of the ship did.  I took that weapon away,
removed the bullets,  proper lead bullets, separated them from the weapon and
hid the gun.  I did this in the hopes that we would repel the attack and submit
this weapon as evidence in a criminal trial against Israeli authorities for mass
murder.  I also helped to physically separate one commando from his assault
rifle, which another brother apparently threw into the sea.

I and hundreds of others know the truth that makes a mockery of the brave
and moral Israeli military.
We had in our full possession, three completely
disarmed and helpless commandos.  These boys were at our mercy, they were
out of reach of their fellow murderers,  inside the ship and surrounded by 100
or more men.  I looked into the eyes of all three of these boys and I can tell
you they had the fear of God in them.  They looked at us as if we were them,
and I have no doubt they did not believe there was any way they would survive
that day.  They looked like frightened children in the face of an abusive father.

But they did not face an enemy as ruthless as they.  Instead the woman
provided basic first aid, and ultimately they were released,  battered and
bruised for sure, but alive.  Able to live another day.  Able to feel the sun over
head and the embrace of loved ones.  Unlike those they murdered.  Despite
mourning the loss of our brothers, feeling rage towards these boys, we let
them go.

THE TRUTH

Why is it that zionists are soooo desperate “for explicit Palestinian acknowledgment of Israel’s right to exist.”.

http://www.redress.cc/palestine/ahart20100405

By Alan Hart

“Zionism’s assertion that Israel was given its birth certificate and thus legitimacy by the UN General Assembly partition resolution of 29 November 1947 is pure propaganda nonsense, as demonstrated by an honest examination of the record of what actually happened.”

In the first place the UN without the consent of the majority of the people of Palestine did not have the right to decide to partition Palestine or assign any part of its territory to a minority of alien immigrants in order for them to establish a state of their own.”

“Despite that, by the narrowest of margins, and only after a rigged vote, the UN General Assembly did pass a resolution to partition Palestine and create two states, one Arab, one Jewish, with Jerusalem not part of either. But the General Assembly resolution was only a non-binding proposal – meaning that it could have no effect, would not become binding, until and unless it was approved by the Security Council.”

The truth is that the General Assembly’s partition proposal never went to the Security Council for consideration. Why not? Because the US knew that, if approved, and because of Arab and other Muslim opposition, it could only be implemented by force, and President Truman was not prepared to use force to partition Palestine.”

“So the partition plan was vitiated (became invalid) and the question of what the hell to do about Palestine – after Britain had made a mess of it and walked away – was taken back to the General Assembly for more discussion. The option favoured and proposed by the US was temporary UN Trusteeship. It was while the General Assembly was debating what do that Israel unilaterally declared itself to be in existence – actually in defiance of the will of the organized international community, including the Truman administration.”

“The truth of the time was that Israel, which came into being mainly as a consequence of Zionist terrorism and pre-planned ethnic cleansing, had no right to exist and, more to the point, could have no right to exist unless it was recognized and legitimized by those who were dispossessed of their land and their rights during the creation of the Zionist state. In international law only the Palestinians could give Israel the legitimacy it craved.”
“As it was put to me many years ago by Khalid al-Hassan, Fatah’s intellectual giant on the right, that legitimacy was “the only thing the Zionists could not take from us by force”.

“The truth of history as summarized briefly above is the explanation of why, really, Zionism has always insisted that its absolute pre-condition for negotiations with more than a snowball’s chance in hell of a successful outcome (an acceptable measure of justice for the Palestinians and peace for all) is recognition of Israel’s right to exist. A right, it knows, it does not have and will never have unless the Palestinians grant it.”

“It can be said without fear of contradiction (except by Zionists) that what delegitimizes Israel is the truth of history. And that is why Zionism has worked so hard, today with less success than in the past and therefore with increasing desperation, to have the truth suppressed.

Illegitimate…  Illegitimate…  Illegitimate

“israel” HAS NO RIGHT TO EXIST

Illegitimate…  Illegitimate…  Illegitimate

UN recognition of Israel is fatally flawed

http://www.redress.cc/palestine/cking20100606

“...it is clear that once the Jews took up arms against the Palestinians, dispossessed them and settled on their land, they acted against the terms and intent of the Mandate, to say nothing of civil law.”

“The Balfour Declaration and League of Nations Mandate in favour of a ‘national home for the Jewish people’ are often cited as the legal basis for the Jewish occupation of Palestine. It is obvious, however, that this cannot be true. These instruments had no legal force.”

Israel not only had no pre-existing historical foundation but it incorporated a fatal flaw. That flaw was its failure to recognize the rights of the Palestinians.”

The Jews of Palestine cannot conceivably, therefore, invent a country and national identity on land confiscated by armed force from the Palestinian people. It is not possible.

I think another important difference is that the US was more constitutionally
flexible than Israel. There has always been racism in America, and of course
race-based slavery until 1865, but racial and religious exclusion was never the
central constitutional or philosophical basis for the country.

For America, changing for the better was a matter of living up to its core
constitutional ideas. Israel can only hope to have peace by repudiating its
core constitutional assumptions and ideals.

One in every five Israeli citizens is a non-Jewish Palestinian - that’s not
counting the occupied population in the territories. Israel must forsake, or
radically modify, its central, racist self-definition, if there is to be peace.

Forget her many years of public service informing the masses and asking the questions many of us would like to have asked.

Get out of Palestine, she didn’t mention Jews, she was refering to millions of refugees (Israelis) who migrated there en masse and have been the root of most of the problems since.

I condone Israeli right to exist, just not as a “Jewish state”.  This is the terminology which ends most peace talks.

Exclusivity is not democracy.

The ever increasing Israeli character the United States is assuming is not the will of the American people and could eventually lead to a civil war in this country.

This what a creep called Jown Hawkings wrote about the Palestinians on David Horowitzes Freedom Blog, the same Blog hyperventilating about a thoughtless but innocent comment by Helen Thomas.

``Honestly, I don’t find the Palestinian people to be the least bit sympathetic. They’re backwards, genocidal, hyper-violent, sad sack, Nazi wannabes led by terrorists who would happily murder every Jew on the planet if they could get away with it.``

“If you don’t believe that, consider the fact that they could simply drive the Palestinians off their land and take it at any point, but instead, they’ve chosen to permanently live beside of millions of people who make the Manson family look sane. If the Israelis were somehow replaced by Americans, we’d drive the Palestinians off their land at gunpoint in six months tops — and we’d be perfectly justified in doing so.``

Is further commentary even neccesary?

To call al Qaeda and “existential threat to America” is like calling the flea biting

it’s a pissant organization that can barely sustain itself much less present an
existential threat to Israel.

Another victim of Israel. Helen speaks the truth and
get pilloried.
Besides Israel’s self destructive paranoia and aggression; the U.S. is also being irrevocably damaged
by it’s unbridled support of Israels criminal behavior.

Here is the sad story of phony Jewish Zionist situational liberalism; here is all of
their self-deluding or opportunistic hypocrisy in a nutshell; and here is why Helen
Thomas got so utterly fed up with their pretenses:

“Jews have always spoken out against discrimination, have always advocated for
a level playing field for all citizens, irrespective of his origins or race. They have
often railed against a race-based society, because this principle worked against
them, and relegated Jews, and every other minority, to being second class, but a
race-based society is exactly what Israel is.”

An interesting defeat in the Alabama Democratic primary for Governor was that of one Artur Davis.

About five years ago I saw an in-depth interview with Davis about his victory for the AL Congressional Seat.
He openly admitted that the only ones who would give financial support were the Jewish Political Operations, B’nai B’rith and, I would guess AIPAC.

He said he wouldn’t have been elected had it weren’t for their money.  What did sell for the moneyed support.

Now, we see he turned his back on the black power groups.
I remember in the 60s, the Jews tried to horn in on the Black movement which was gaining politically.  I think the Jews thought that if they could fake sincerity they’ve got it made, that is, with the black vote.

But alas, those damn schwatzes.

Good bye Artur, Good Bye.

By the way, where are Obama LSAT scores?

Here says he was a loner, hole up in New York City during his two year stint at Columbia.  Can you believe it?

He seemed to find his way to the front of the camera, though, while in Cambridge at Harvard Law.

CCTV shows a lot of that footage.  He was or is their man.

@EdHarges

OK lets put this situation in context here for you lets say that the United States allows an certain native reservation to be fully self governed. In turn the Native Americans of that reservation then decide to elect a government that is Anti-American, better yet they are Anti-WASP. They then decree that they will not rest until the entire WASP population of the United States has either left their surrounding territory or been completely wiped out due to rockets they have in their territory. Now this area being a Native Reservation and not having the resources that an entire nation as vast as the United States doesn’t have resources so Countries like Venezuela, Iran & other nations that have been out spoken against any sort of American policy have said they will come to the “humanitarian rescue” of this Native Reserve. These nations are also know for training insurgents to attack the united states, not military attacks mind you but they target schools, buses you know places where children hang out. Now you tell me a reasonable response isn’t to search these humanitarian convoys to check to see if weapons are being hidden? Are you saying when these so called Humanitarians then violently engaged armed forces they are not supposed to fight back? What would you do in this situation?

Mike, you should register so your comments appear immediately.

I totally agree - Chuck Todd is a completely unprincipled creep who thinks the
“political process” is just a game for him and his privileged friends to play.

How DARE he complain that Helen Thomas, with twice his brains and ten times his
courage, isn’t a “real journalist”.

Helen, the criminal Obama and the rest of the blood sucking zombies are not
worthy of licking the bottoms of your shoes.

Might as well quit as none of the White House Mob is interested in the truth. Nor
is the press. Its a complete side show.

Hell, they are not even interested in democracy or our beloved republic.

Get out of the sewer, Helen. Israel is digging their own grave needing no one’s
help.

Ms Thomas should be able to be able to speak her mind at that age, huh? America right wing tries to make this country a christian nation, but its not. The architects of this nation wasn’t-thats why it WAS successful. “Hands off approach” to any thing morally wrong the Isreal zionist is involved with around the world is hypocritical and yields guilt by association. right wing christians prop up the zionist state out of loyalty. All of the factions make strange bedfellows considering how the politico/religio machines was deceptively designed. After all Jesus was the first CEO to go world wide. If the people of the only knew they were CONNED.

Three cheers to Helen.  In a world where the corporate press determines the news, and repeats endless lies that serve Western State power and privilege, it cannot be stressed too often the illegal nature of Israeli occupation and usurpation of lands the West coveted in the greatest oil-producing region of the world.  That the West had no interest in taking in the Jews highlights Western hypocrisy and the double-standards of the powerful.  Rather than establish a haven for the Jews after the Christian West did its damndest to exterminate them in one of their own countries (and here Germany comes to mind as the proper location), the West, at the point of a gun, demanded that the Arabs pay for the crimes of the Europeans.
The Western corporate media will never admit that the Arabs long ago have ceded Israel’s “right to exist”, it being perpetually useful to have the fiction of a righteous West versus a barbaric East as the justification of any and every horror and crime committed by our own, saintly by definition, warlord politicians, and the armies and client States they command for their own narrow, selfish ends.  And as the average American believes whatever the pro-war, corporate media tells them they believe, and have no interest in anything that might call official lies into question or poses a challenge to Western rule, they cannot even conceive that perhaps the Palestinians have rights, too, including the right to exist, a right that seems to be quite selective depending on whether it is useful to empire’s hegemonic purposes.

I applaud Helen Thomas for what she said, and am dismayed that in a country that pays endless lip-service to the First Amendment, we see yet again that it applies only to those who say the “right” things.

“A properly functioning system of indoctrination has a variety of tasks. Its primary target are the “stupid and ignorant masses”. They must be kept that way; marginalized, and isolated. Ideally, each person should be alone in front of the TV screen watching sports, soap operas, or comedies, deprived of organizational structures that permit individuals lacking resources to discover what they think and believe in, to engage in interaction with others, to formulate their own concerns and programs, and to act to realize them. This hapless multitude are the proper targets of the mass media and a public education system geared to obedience and training in needed skills, including the skill of repeating patriotic slogans on timely occasions.”
(Noam Chomsky)

Anyone who challenges the prevailing orthodoxy finds himself silenced with surprising effectiveness.”

And isn’t it interesting, RdV, that

(a) Whenever one meets, in the flesh, a person who simultaneously claims to be
a staunch liberal leftist and claims that Israel’s blockade and other
outrageous brutalities are fully justified, and that Hamas’s sole desire is to kill
every single Jew on the planet, no matter what Israel does, that person turns
out to be Jewish; and yet…

(b) Here, online, where it’s harder to know who anyone really is, many of the
people who similarly claim to be liberal leftists, yet nonsensically defend the
worst of Israel’s actions, swear that they’re not Jewish, but have arrived at
their bizarre world-view completely irrespective of any ethnic affiliation.

If you had both brains and liberal principles you could not possibly be claiming
that Israel’s blockade and its treatment of people trying to bring humanitarian aid
are justified by Israel’s right to defend itself.

Israel keeps a captive population starving in a ghetto and you still hear the mindless babbling about how Israel has the right to defend itself. Do Palestinians have the right to defend themselves? Do they have more legitimate security issues like their homes being bulldozed and their lands confiscated?
Hamas has declared they recognize the state of Israel at the Greenline—but what the hell does that matter—Israel doesn’t even have declared boarders. And still the Israli-firster stick to their message, blinders firmly in place.
